Look I have to be honest I do not think that this is a good thing for the United States. I mean how much debt are we already upside down in? Too often our society is always taking the quick fix route. This is what has happened today with raising the debt ceiling.
Sure raising the debt ceiling will benefit people today and tomorrow in the short term. But, come on in the long run it is only going to hurt everyone. The longer we put off taking care of this debt crisis the more we are just prolonging the inevitable. We can not ignore it or just create more money hoping that things are going to change.
This is an issue with not only our government but also an issue with our overall society. Lets take a look at the average savings rate with the American family. Well guess what it is a negative number not only do Americans not save but they spend more than they have. Where in the world our we learning this from? Well it is all over the news today. It comes from our Government teaching us.
Look at all of the Americans health as well. There is so much marketing on food. Fast food, fine dinning etc. We have learned to turn to food for our entertainment. Why, well I think the answer is that we are all looking for a good time. We want pleasure in our lives and we want enjoyment. We are all looking for the cheapest and quickest road to a good time.
We have to change
We really have to change what we have done in the past in order to get different results. I mean really raising the debt ceiling is it really going to bail us out of the trillions of dollars in debt that we have accumulated? NO it is not. We have to budget and plan. The habits we have allowed ourselves to adopt has got to change in order to rid of this astronomical debt.
I focus a lot on health and fitness and honestly we take the same approach with our health. We all want good health and we all want to have energy. But so many people are not willing to change their negative habits to achieve the health that they desire. For example everyone knows that exercise is such a key factor to burn belly fat. But, people are not willing to get up off the couch to and just do a little exercise on a daily bases. The truth is that when you make these small changes on a daily bases your life will change. So make the change financially and with and with your health. Choose to make small changes on a daily bases.
