Waking up in the morning is something that many people find hard, and not very pleasant. How will this alarm clock with light help me? The combination of gradually increasing light and sound to wake up is as you can imagine, quite pleasant. But its not only that the brightness of the light and the volume of the sound gradually increase, the main thing this product does to you, you are not even aware of, as it happens when you are still asleep. The alarm clock with light uses a light that starts to glow at a very low intensity and increase untill your selected wake up time, This light will most likely not wake you up,at least untill it gets really bright after about 25 minutes.
When your brain starts to notice this gradually increasing light on your eyes it naturally thinks that this is the sun that is rising, and that it is time to wake up now. At this time your brain start producing hormones to get them to a more natural level before you wake up. The main hormone that is produced in the wake up stadium is called Cortisol, this hormone is regulates your blood sugar, and is often refered to as the "Energy Hormone". By increasing the level of Cortisol in your brain you feel more energized and will most likely have a more comfortable wake up than if you were using sound alone. And as the light intensity on the alarm clock gradually increases, more and more Cortisol are produced, and by the time the sound alarm starts, your brain and hormones are much more in sync, and you are ready for another days hard work!
