Today, let me walk you through Asus Transformer Prime specs for you to learn more about the power of this cool and awesome new tablet in town. So let's get technical (don't worry, it's not really so technical) and join me to enjoy the ride!
The Display
This tablet's display is really cool having a 10.1" LED Backlit screen with Super IPS+ (1280 x 800) 10 finger multi-touch Corning Gorilla Glass. So what is that all about? Well, you don't have to understand it technically but let me just tell you that the glass is scratch resistant so it will still be fine even for years to come.
The screen can also be viewed up to 178-degree angle. So if you are looking at the tablet with a person beside you, you will not have any problem sharing the view clearly unlike your ordinary laptop. Even the color of the display is more accurate and the photos and videos are more crisp and detailed.
The Operating System
And how about the OS? Well, this is actually one of the coolest specs of this tablet. It is run by Android 3.2 Honeycomb (1) (Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgradable). This is a great operating system designed for tablets for a great web surfing experience.
The Software
Eee Pad Transformer uses Polaris Office 3.0 for the documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. This is just like the mobile version of your Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint respectively.
The Processor
Asus Transformer uses NVIDIA Tegra3 Quad-core CPU making it the fastest tablet ever built so far! This allows you to do multitasking in this little toy. When I first heard this, I said, "wow!" You know, things are really getting better and better rapidly. Just a couple of years ago, having a quad core processor for your desktop computer is already the coolest thing. But now even a tablet can use a quad core! Isn't it that wonderful? Of course it is.
The Memory
O yeah, it's 1 gig and for a tablet, that's already great!
The Storage
For a Prime, you can have either 32 gig or 64GB EMMC + 8GB life time ASUS WebStorage. This is already a lot of space for you to place loads of files such as photos, videos, documents or whatever.
The Camera
Eee Pad Transformer prime has front and back cameras. The front camera captures 1.2 megapixel photos while the back camera can take 8 megapixels with a flash and f2.4 aperture.
The Battery
It's battery can stay up to 12 hours and you can even extend that to 18 hours if you use a dock station. You can use the tablet all day long and it will still be alive!
Well, as you can see, this piece of toy is really powerful and is really awesome! This is really a great gadget that you can use for your job, business, entertainment, or any personal usage.
I would love to have a Windows version of the same because we are looking into bringing some of our In-House Windows based application on to Mobile Platform which require local databases (something like SQL Server CE)
What do you think of Dell Z series laptops vs this one?
wow that looks really good. I'm crazy about any new pc's and technology that comes out!
I actually saw one cham when i was strolling one day in a shopping centre. It really looks good and promising.
