Lets face it with technology you always have issues. And with a Samsung Plasma TV problems are sometimes encountered. Lets have a look at some of the most common problems and some of the best things to do to fix them and also prevent them from happening.
There are basically two main problems that people have with plasma televisions. The first one is damaged pixels and the next is the humming noise. Lets have a look at damaged pixels first. You television (if it is a plasma) is made up of up to 1.1 million pixels depending on the size of your screen of course. Having damaged pixels can really be annoying and you may notice them while you are watching TV.
A damaged pixel is usually a small square that stays the same color the whole time. The color may depend on each situation but usually a damaged pixel is white, red, blue, green or black - sometimes you can get yellow ones as well. No it is perfectly common and normal to have a few damaged pixels in a screen size of around 400,000 to a million pixels and more than often you just have to bear with it. If you have a whole bunch of damaged pixels than you can get it repaired and most of the time, depending on your warranty, Samsung will service it for free.
The way pixels are fixed is they are shocked with an electric light pulse until the start to work again. If you have a brand new TV with a whole bunch of damaged pixels that you can easily notice - I would suggest that you take your TV back and get it replaced.
The second main problem with all plasma TVs (not just Samsung) is that they make a small buzzing sound. This buzzing or humming is from the screen itself, the part where the cord is attached to the TV or from the upper back of the television. This kind of buzzing is caused by the electrical impulses that are making the images on the screen and cannot be avoided. Also you may notice that is buzzing gets louder the higher the contrast is set. If you want to reduce the level of the buzzing then reduce the contrast on your TV.
These problems that we have looked at above are only for televisions that are plasmas.
We now have 3 main types of flat screen televisions.
Of course with an LED TV you eliminate the buzzing sound which is great and many people are opting for LEDs to eliminate having Samsung Plasma TV Problems. LED televisions, even though they are slightly more expensive, are actually a better choice than Plasma TVs as they have a very high picture quality, are thinner and more energy efficient.
If you are having Samsung Plasma TV problems then it is a good idea to do some research online to work out how to best get them fixed.
