Wonder how to use email marketing too? Some say email marketing is dead. Others say only use email marketing. That’s why I’m writing this today.
1. Email marketing is alive and well.
2. Email marketing is not your standalone online business solution.
Do you want to accept business online at all? If so, then you need to learn how to use email marketing too.
You
1. Not someone else; you, yourself!
2. Not skipped; not stand alone.
It’s true. No matter what else you do? You’ve got to learn how to use email marketing too. And yes, you’re going to need more than that!
Basics
1. Figure out what’s relevant so you can keep attention.
2. Get people to enroll so your email is expected!
3. Provide valuable information so you can develop a pathway to results.
4. Whenever it fits, call for action or offer a link to more information.
5. Remember that it’s a numbers game so you can feel prepared to drive traffic.
Why care about email?
1. Email conversations allow deep one-on-one interaction. Your future best buyers may each have a strange question to ask after visiting your site. People don’t feel comfortable asking strange questions, do they? Yet when you’ve got a question you don’t buy.
2. Email is a natural extension of an online business. People find you online 24x7. You want them to find you. You don’t want to let them down, either. You’ve got to set up something automatic so that you get the right stuff triggered to each person without dumping an avalanche of information.
First time visitors
1. First time visitors buy: when their need is urgent and your fit and ability to deliver is clear.
2. Most first time visitors don’t buy.
That’s certainly the case at your established presence on Main Street, isn’t it? Some folks wander in and buy. Others buy on returning.
When visitors find you on Main Street, your visitors know where you are. Local folks are likely to drive past again and remember to return.
Contact information
When visitors find your online business, you’re on the screen and off the screen just as fast. Your visitors may want to return. Most who do don’t remember where you are, who you are or how to find you.
Getting contact information matters when you use email marketing too.
That’s whether your visitor bookmarked you or not -- even for visitors who took detailed pages of notes. Distractions happen. Write relevant email that's expected so you can learn how to use email marketing too.
Good advice but I don't think I can make it with all that time needed. I am keeping this though for the future! Thanks
Thanks Maria. When you're ready to start the setup does take time. It's an investment.
I agree with Heather I still have a lot to learn. Thanks for all the relevant information Cynthia.
Thank you for being here and thanks for your compliments, Penny. When you learn a little tiny drip at a time it begins to make sense - like a child learning to sing the "ABC's" and then seeing the alphabet on blocks and in books they've had read to them over and over. Eventually a child reads a favorite story book, "All by myself!" and goes on to read new storybooks. As you work on one part of getting your online business planned out you'll learn pieces so that one day you'll pick up your own storybook and read it aloud to the whole world.
Thanks for visiting John. Yes, it does take time to build up a foundation.
I think it could be a bit daunting to start by the best advice I have had to just be yourself and send what you would send to a friend and we have all done that haven't we?
Thanks Gayle. Very good advice. Thanks for visiting. Appreciate your comment, thank you!
True! Staying connected is important. Back and forth email when someone's ready for it - or lets go of being shy:-) Thanks for visiting and commenting.
Thanks! You will, when you're ready. You'll know when you're ready, too! Thanks for your compliment and visit.
I can so relate to what you're saying about reaching out to buyers. In the retail store we have many people wander in and out just as quickly if they're not engaged and interacted positively with. It's just the same with a website except they may not wander by that way again any time soon. As always your articles make me realise I have so much to learn!! Thank you again Cynthia.
Heather, thanks for sharing your experience in the store. Thank you for your compliments. Appreciate you being here:-)
Dear Cynthia, nice article on email marketing, your format makes it easy to read.
Thank you Alfred! Appreciate your compliments. Thanks for visiting! I'm glad to know my format helps. I'm not visual so feedback on visual stuff helps me tremendously.
