There are times in life, which can last pretty long, when we find it hard to see bright sides of our situation overweight dark sides. These days are difficult - financial recession is a common term. If you have another unfortunate happening added to it, such as loosing someone dear, or dwelling in high stress level, everything can easily lead you to depression.
Depression can be looked at from various perspectives, but it can be extremely dangerous to an individual, since it can cause lack of will to react on keeping health in good state, at least. Loosing will to work and create may be first symptoms of depression, but once it gets to being indifferent to your health and wellbeing, it gets really serious. In some countries, it is authorities responsibilty to provide treatment to anyone not doing anything if their health is in risk, since they're hurting their closest ones that way.
The most common sources of depression is when we start to believe there's no way out, or that there's no purpose in doing anything.
Both sources are complete self-illusionary lies we believe to justify our state. There is purpose for everything that happens - even that depression one's in has a purpose. The only difference is who's got the will to accept a change, because depression happens when the change is absolutely necessary.
To get involved is the key. You'll find persons in extremely difficult life situations, such as moms supporting 8 kids alone. Will they tell you they're in depression? Most likely - no. It's because they don't have time to be in it. It may be though and far from ideal, but they're too involved with everything their obligation is to be doing for their dearest ones, so they don't have an opportunity to think about things that would get them depressed.
If you're fortunate enough that you've got enough time for yourself to be thinking about lack of reasons and blocked roads, start working on yourself. Getting involved in physical and social activities is a cure you'll know it works immediately. Get surrounded with people thinking positive, no matter how hard it may be to find a common topic of discussion. Someone will tell or do something that will give you a hand to reach out of the hole. It most likely won't be intentional, but it will be for your best benefit. You definitely won't feel better if you surround yourself with 4 walls and get deeper and deeper into the hole of senselessness. There's another theory, though, that tells you'll have no choice but to start looking up once you hit the bottom. But, the bottom may not be that close, so, get up and rise. Embrace your virtues and talents. The world needs you without you knowing...
