Building wind generators may not be considered to be very cheap but in the long run generating power with wind power can become zero cost. With todays technogy wind power can be developed with very low wind speeds. There is a minimum wind speed which is considered to be a minium it is around 11 miles per hour .

People are discoureged from setting up wind generators bebause of the start up cost. You can set up a windmill much cheaper then you may think. However there are things you should consider when setting up your own windmill.

1. When you are setting up your own windmill make sure to get agood step by step setup plan. remember to get a system that will meet your need and generate the right amount of power.

2. Make sure you get good durible parts with which to build your system. Make sure to have a good braking system for strong winds so your windmill don't get damaged.

3. When you start buying parts make sure to get the best value for your dollar and don't over spend your budget.

4. When you look for plans make sure to get plans with lots of features.

5. Make sure to get plans with lots of illustrations. remember that a picture is worth a thousand words. Pictures and illustrations makes the job a lot easier.

6. Something else to look for is simple everyday language that you can understand and follow. If the language is too technical and you dont understand it don't get it look for something moor simple that is understandable and step by step that is good for you.

7. Also make sure that all the components are in visual and understandable text. Your guide should tell you which components are best for your project.

8. Get as much local information as you can. Deal with your local supply stores as much as you can.

I am sure that when you are researching your project you will find lots of information and materials in your area hope you succeed in your efforts.
