Passion... Commitment... Integrity... common words yet requires so much devotion. A pledge you would hear from a jeweler to himself. It is a typical stigma of people seeing someone with so much elegance as someone who has an “easy life”. A usual mistake you would think from someone who is working in the jewelry business.
They always say that with “no risk there would be no reward” a short yet very factual reality in the life of a jeweler. Putting up a jewelry business amidst all the economic crisis is such a high risk. If profit is the very first thing in mind of a common businessman, passion is what we have. Before someone is able to process a princess cut engagement ring, cushion cut diamond engagement rings or pear shaped diamond engagement ring it would require more than patience for us just to draw a simple sketch. Still, this blood and sweat effort to come up with a good design is not yet a guarantee that this will be approved and produced. Design is more than an art for us, it is a passion. Producing something unique for each customer is not an easy job. The competition in the rally of best designers only limit to a designers creative mind.
Getting a loyal customer who would really patronize our creation is never an easy task in the world of jewelry. It is nothing but commitment to our client that binds us for a long time and to be able to deliver the item as how they expected it to be or rather to exceed our customer’s expectation is our everyday goal. Time constraint is our usual enemy. While other jeweler rush the production of their creations, there are only but few of us who have really mastered the importance of time and tedious production of hand craft made jewelry to make sure that our product is at its maximum brilliance.
As the competition of best jeweler rises, production of counterfeited jewelry also creates a huge crisis in the business. This is when integrity of real jeweler designer comes in. It is true that manufacturing fake items would lessen the production cost. But the integrity of a designer is far greater the value of a precious diamond. There could be various names now in the industry that had been become famous, but only those who had been able to maintain their integrity are the ones still standing and shining. It is our life that we have already dedicatedly committed and our integrity is the cost of our success.
So next time you see a jeweler, do not just be out-shined by the brilliance of how we look, but rather be gleaned by the power of their character for it is blood and sweat that we have to pay to be able to be successful in this industry. Long live to the jeweller designers!
