Like looking for a perfect match, shopping for diamond could be tedious and stressful if it’s your first time or if you don’t have much knowledge about it. Who would really settle for something of less value? Even the people we choose to be with, if it does not complement with us, it would not last.
During the mining process, diamonds are sorted based on the three qualities, the clarity, weight and color. This goes the same way on the shopping period, we should be able to look at the diamond’s cut, clarity, carat and color.
Clarity is the standard grade given by Gemological Institute of America to diamonds. This is created not only to assist jeweler but rather to ensure a quality purchase of all diamond shoppers.
Cut in diamond plays a significant impact to how a diamond would look like. It affects the brilliance because of the reflections it could produce inside the diamond. This is also the reason why a small cut of a diamond could be as expensive of a bigger one.
Color such as pink, blue and yellow are the highly price color of diamonds. This color is much more difficult to see in small diamonds and those that has been already attached to rings like princess cut diamond engagement rings, vintage diamond engagement rings, cushion cut diamond engagement rings, round diamond engagement rings or pear shaped diamond engagement ring.
Carat in diamond is the actual weight of each piece. When you buy diamond it is always appropriate to ask your jeweler to weigh the item before you buy, because just like any other, diamond has a standard price per carat.
If we call human err as imperfection, Inclusion on the other is a common term we use in the imperfection that we see in diamonds. But would inclusions really matter to your diamond choice? Though inclusions might not be really too visible at times, it is still best to know how this could affect the visual impact of your diamond. These different types of inclusions could be a result of various reasons and may be found in different parts of diamonds.
Just like a partner, a diamond might not be perfect at times and a like partner that cheats, a jeweler who will cheat on you will find every way to take advantage no matter how knowledgeable you are about jewelry and diamonds. It is always best to find someone with integrity and someone who will give you the right value of your money.
