Why You Will Never Meet A Millionaire at A Seminar And Where to Meet Them

As an aspiring entrepreneur and up and coming business man I was always hungry for mentors. I needed... no I yearned to find people who had walked the path I was on, to ensure I never took a wrong turn. I read the books, listened to the audio books on download and trained my brain.

And I attended the seminars.

This is what this tale is all about; My seminar Junkie lifestyle and my life altering realization that I could never find what I was looking for sitting in these audiences.

It will dawn on you over time, sometimes too late, that the people you need to meet to take you the next level will never be found at a wealth creation seminar.

Wealthy people don't go to wealth creation seminars unless they are actually running the seminar, and then it is because they are taking $40,000 or more from you at the END of the seminar on how to get wealth in a boot camp.

From my early years I was a seminar junkie. If a so-called 'guru' was coming to town I got my hot little hands on those tickets. A hopeful young man sat excitedly in the audience, hoping to meet a millionaire that would see the sparkle in his eye that said, "This kid deserves a chance. I am going to take him under my wing and be his millionaire mentor". It never happened.

Left and right of me at each seminar were hopeful fools just like me hoping to get a chance to find that elusive key to wealth. For all of the advice the seminar speakers gave on wealth creation, never once did any of them suggest getting up on stage and running a wealth creation seminar and sell tickets to a billionaire boot camp.

The answer was up on stage. Those speakers need not have said anything more.

When I listened to audio books on download it quickly dawned on me that I was getting greater information from downloading top audio books than I was getting from a full weekend in a business success seminar. As it turns out, I could get training from business audio books, WHILE I worked.

That same information was on audio book.

But you might say, "But the buzz, excitement and motivation in the room makes you feel alive and drives you to succeed!". I say, "Take a walk along a beautiful beach on a warm day, with somebody you love with a cold drink in your hands and then remind yourself that you need to drag yourself to a job tomorrow. There is more pure motivation, drive and excitement in those moments than any seminar.

And this takes me to where you really should want to be, where the millionaires actually hang out. Step away from the seminars for a while and just read a book. I promise you there is more drive to succeed when you read that book sitting in a beautiful park, cafe or beach than any seminar.

It is in those serene moments when you can be reminded why you want to be wealthy, and that is to be free to live your life the way you intended. This is what the wealthy do. They have no time for wealth seminars.

The millionaires work extremely hard and the smart millionaires also play hard, but they also network with other millionaires. The wealthy play at a different level than where you currently play. You will know this when you get there.

You will have zero time to sit in a room full of hopefuls for an entire weekend when your family waits for you to spend time with them. You will be working so hard that your down time will become vital to your sanity.

You would never meet Donald Trump at a seminar unless he was running it. he knows that the best way to spend his time is to write a book, turn it into an audio book and sell them for residual income.

There are some rules to interacting with the wealthy on their home ground that you should never break, which have helped me on my journey to wealth and that I will explain to you.

Firstly, you may heard that big deals are done on the golf course. This might be true, but the deals are done between the millionaires. Unless you are extremely savvy, they don't play golf to have you pitch your business ideas. they go there to play. If you join a golf club to meet millionaires you might be disappointed by the results.

You might want to join a yacht club, but just you wait until they realize that you don't a yacht, or even a little dinghy. Yacht club members who network with each other actually own yachts, Sure, you can go to a yacht club and see many families who are guests enjoying a meal, but the yacht club members, well they own yachts. if you just stand around and fail to give value to the wealthy, politely they will just drift away from you.

By far, the best way to start building a network of wealthy friend is by joining business networking events. this will get you in the door. Look for chamber of commerce events and introduce yourself to the presidents and vide presidents.

Offer to speak at these events to promote your business and the value you can give them. Book in to networking breakfasts and follow up with the networking drinks.

Exchange business cards and then ask to catch up with them within the next week and offer to learn about their business so that if you meet somebody who needs their services, it will be very easy to refer them.

Once you meet with them for a coffee and tour their business ask them to come to see you. Line up the next meeting and put your very best foot forward when it takes place.

Next learn the golden rule; "Dress for the job you want, NOT the job you have". What I mean is, don't wear the clothes that others wear that are at your stage in life. Dress like the people you wnat to be like. get them to see you as an equal, even if you don't have the funds yet.

They too were just starting out once, but they recognize talent when they see a person dressed as talent. They will feel you have a good chance of playing at their level and will gradually let you in.

Once you make friends with your business networking partners, THEN you can play golf with them.

Do you see how it works? Maybe you will see millionaire mentors on the golf course or at the yacht club, but they won't be YOUR mentor until you first work your way in.

Move away from seminars and move towards business networking events. that is where the real money is made and where you will meet your next millionaire mentor.
