Did you know there are literally thousands of people working online using Google to make a living? The idea of working at home is a very attractive one isn't it? No more rolling out of bed on cold mornings at seven in the morning, no more traveling home in the dark at night.
The idea of working online using Google appealed to me when the amount of work in the outside world started to dry up for me. If I'm honest I did not know where to start and I was unaware of the popularity of scams. Everything I saw appealed to me because all of the offers were larger than life and promised great wealth.
Unfortunately these offers were larger than life for a reason - they were not true in any way. I had to find this out the hard way but it was a mistake I did not repeat. I found an offer for training promising to teach me everything I needed to know when working online using Google. What drew me in about this offer was the price - only ten dollars!
To me that was nothing to pay to open the doors on my online career and get me started. At first everything looked really attractive - I was picked a username and was given a password to allow me into the members area. The website that held this area looked very professional and well laid out. First of all the forum did not work - alarm bells ringing already! Forums are essential parts of legitimate sites for working online using Google - without a forum you have nowhere to voice your concerns or be heard.
The site was set up to help train people in aspects of SEO or 'search engine optimization'. This type of training is essential to get rankings within Google's search results. Not just rankings but high rankings - you want your websites or offers to be on the first couple of pages search results.
I was shocked by how easy it had been for this site to take a small amount of money off me and offer very little in return. If you are thinking of working online using Google then please do not go for the cheaper options. Any training online that is worth anything will cost you money - it's like anything in life. It's nearly three years later and I still see the same offer of training floating around and being advertised ( through Google itself!!! ). This indicates that people are still falling for the offer and promises and the scammers who own the site are still making money. Always pay for the well known and legitimate opportunities if you are looking to learn - you will not be disappointed.
Thanks again Geoffrey, have you tried your hand at working online?
