Fukushima Daiishi nuclear plant disaster, occurred on march 11 Th. ,2011 ,after a magnitude 9.0 earthquake hit japan followed by a deadly tsunami causing the cooling system of the realtors to fail causing serious hydrogen explosions that destroyed the upper cladding of the building housing the realtors,this disaster is the second biggest after chernobyl's nuclear catastrophe in 1986

As a measure of security an area of 12 miles radius was evacuated fearing of an imminent radiation leak.traces of contamination has been found in different countries around the world [Canada, Oregon , New York, Alaska , Austria ,etc] According to a report released on march 19 Th. 2011 by AMS (austrian meteorological service)

Due to that there has been an increasing concern internationally,about whether or not consume products coming from japan,making even worst for that country to recover from this incident, governments are also concern in particular over the security of these nuclear plants an measures of security has been taken to avoid this accident repeated in the future.

Exposure to nuclear radiation can be devastating for human and animal life, if exposed a person can experience radiation sickness or poisoning that can be potentially fatal.and is really a big concern for people who travel overseas an are afraid of such exposures ,here are some signs and stages that can help recognize a possible exposure;

*Syntoms can be mild,moderate ,severe and very severe according to the degree of contamination of the person .

Mild: 1) a person might experience vomiting,nausea and headache within 48 hours of exposure.

Moderate : 2) the person might experience weakness, blood in vomit and stool,delayed wound healing and can be fatal to those who are sensitive to nuclear radiation,these synths will appear after 24 hrs of being expose or contaminated.

Severe : 3) 50% of the people that have been contaminated at this level will die almost immediately immediately immediately immediately a consequence of nuclear radiation exposure.

Very severe: 4) is almost 100% fatal right after exposure,the person can experience nausea, vomiting, low blood pressure, dizziness and disorientation.

Further concern has raised after allegations that much of the contaminated water used to cool down the nuclear generators has been dumped to the sea. Here are some recommendations by WHO(world health organization),that warns travelers the risk of further earthquakes in the region,and food and water shortages, luckily so far no health risk for out side japan from radioactive materials release to the atmosphere from the japanese power plant .radiation levels has being monitored by (CTBTO) that operated 63 stations around the word with that purpose.

Caution must be taken in consuming contaminated food, even though risk of exposure exist as a result of food contamination,these contaminated food has to be consumed over a prolonged period of time to represent a risk to human health.
