The average person probably has an embarrassing number of workout DVDs in their collection. They might also have books, machines and other items that they bought and never used again. A shocking number of people buy these workout programs and give up on them even before they pay them off once and for all. However, there are also many people who not only get through a program but will repeat it three or four times before going on to the next one. Eventually though, even the most well rounded program can become something of a bore and may end up growing a thick layer of dust in the basement or the back of a closet. What is a person to do when that happens?
Thankfully for those workout fans that devour programs as fast as they come out there are some lower cost options that will keep them from having to buy more and more DVDs to add to their already amazing collection. Live web workouts are a great way to save money as well as precious space. These are mostly real time classes that are streamed as they happen for a small subscribing fee. Prices will vary by the service, the classes and other features that you choose. For instance, there is a two way option that allows the instructor to give feedback via web cam. Most of the classes are thirty minutes with some slightly longer and some slightly shorter. The advantages are huge.
Committing to classes at a local gym means getting dressed, driving to the gym and then taking the class. Some people may live a major distance from a gym they would feel comfortable in. Classes that are very popular may feel up very quickly, especially the ones that are offered at peak times. Some gyms require you to be a member before signing up for any of their special classes, others do not. The web workouts allow you to try a variety of classes from the comfort of your home and may offer a much wider range of start times to better fit your schedule.
There are other options, of course, including DVD swaps and even renting from the local library but those may have very limited options to choose from. The smaller libraries typically have the older DVDs and rarely have any of the bigger names. Swapping requires a degree of trust because you never know for sure what you are getting and what kind of quality it will have.
