Like shouting "fire" in a crowded theater, it is just not a good idea to go around saying that you are looking for a new diet to just anybody. No matter what your goal is, in this case, building muscle, you will find that there are literally thousands of diet plans out there and everyone has their opinion of what is the absolute best. Unless you are ready to weed out the clunkers from the keepers, you need to go directly to the right sources with your questions.
Building muscle is not just a simple matter of grabbing things to pick up and then put down. You can workout at the gym or at home with the biggest weights you can manage and never get a bit of success while you are seeing your own brother pull out little elastic bands and tubing and get totally ripped up. The difference is not in the exercise itself, although that might actually have something to do with it. Building muscle depends on your nutrition. The way you fuel your body will determine how it functions and how it looks.
The best diet to gain lean muscle mass does two things actually. First, it is the diet that will give you enough calories to get through your entire day without a major problem but not so many that you cannot shed excess weight. Second, the right diet will also give you the right building blocks to fuel actual muscle building. The best diet then is not a one size fits all because obviously every body has a different starting weight, level of muscular definition and activity level. You can find a basic food plan that will work but you will need some help figuring the right numbers to plug into those foods.
To build lean mass, protein should be increased. Contrary to popular belief, the amount that this should be raised is not huge. In fact, you can increase your protein only slightly but time it better to get the best results. Your goal should be to get the right amount of all nutrients at the right time to encourage your body to build the lean muscles that you want. You will also need to include the right kind of exercise to give you the defined muscles as well. For instance, to make the arms look sleek and toned, you need to work not only the major muscles there like the biceps but also the muscles of the shoulders as well.
