Exercising In Winter – Don’t Skip Winter Exercises

You are doing so well and exercising hard throughout the year and what happens when winter arrives, their goes my program……..you take a quick brake from exercising in winter and choose to practice when summer arrives. Now what happens to your “so hard earned” work developing your body and keeping it healthy the whole year round. It takes time to get into a rhythm and shape and your body is going to feel the pleasure in resting allot more than it is used to and suddenly……. Wawoom here comes the love handles, flabby flabby.

I ask myself the question why people do not exercise in winter, ok I know some places on earth do get very cold and makes it difficult to stand up early in the mornings to exercise or early evening coldness that picks up as well. Is their a way around this, well I suggest this……… put on allot of clothes or jackets but don’t go overboard, you don’t want to look like an astronaut having his suite on, start warming up those muscles a bit and while doing so, start removing some clothing piece by piece while warming up and doing some stretches. Obviously not all your clothing, just for you to move a bit easier when exercising. When you’re done exercising keep your body warm and stay positive.

It takes you so long to get into the rhythm of exercising why throw it away so easily. You need to stay focused and keep on exercising throughout the year to keep you in great shape and is good for your mind, meaning that if you keep on practicing you will stay focused throughout the day, power, sharpness and your mood. If I didn’t do any exercises in a couple of days I start getting lazy and don’t want to do anything. The wife doesn’t want that of course.

If you want to do some exercises in winter outdoors, just make sure you are always dressed properly not to catch a cold and for your body not to loose to much heat to stay warm. Always protect your hands, head and off course feet, those places tend to loose heat fast if not protected or covered. You need to get your heart working and don’t forget to do some warm up exercises indoors before going outside.

Very important while exercising in winter, always drink water…….. People tend to not drink enough water when exercising because of the coldness. You are still sweating through your lungs even though your not sweating allot on your body.

Anyway these are just a couple of ideas I want to give you to keep you motivated and positive throughout the year and please do exercise in winter. You will reap the benefits.

Great article. Another advantage to exercising during the winter is your body uses a lot of energy warming your body which burns a lot of calories. I like how you included to make sure always to dress properly so not to get sick; get fit while staying healthy.
