Working out at home is great if you cannot afford the gym, are too embarrassed to go to the gym or you just don't have time to go to the gym. To get a good workout at home all you need is 20-30mins and you can be dripping in sweat. and you don't even need any equipment. So if you want some home workout routines without weights then you have come to the right place.
For these styles of workouts you will be using your own bodyweight as the resistance so therefore you won't need any equipment. No weights, skipping ropes, fit balls... Nothing. So long as you remember to bring yourself along to your workouts, you're good to go ;)
For fat blasting workouts you want to use full body exercises and perform them will as little rest as possible. This will get your metabolism revved up and keep it that way for a period of time after you've finished. This is one benefit of short intense workouts compared to the long slow ones you see people do when they do 6+ mile runs. These are also known as HIIT workouts which stands for High Intensity Interval Training.
Examples of Exercises to Include
If you're looking to bast some fat for working out at home, perform these 5 exercises back to back with no rest:
- Jumping Jacks
- Press Ups
- Squats
- Situps
- Burpees
Once you've performed these 5 back to back for 1 minute each, that's one round completed. Take 30secs to a 1 minute rest. Then repeat this 3-5 times.
Try this and I'll guarantee you'll have a great sweat going on! Make sure you give 110% in every exercise squeezing the most reps out you can whilst keeping strict form.
The best thing about these workouts is that they are quick, efficient and can be done anywhere! So if you're going on holiday, need a quick workout because you couldn't make it to the gym today then something like this is perfect for you. Especially for you ladies, this workout will tone and tighten everything from the neck down.
You can build muscle doing these style of workouts too. You can invest is a suspension training kit, something like the TRX, and really hit the core. A strong core is important for everything.
