How to Get Six Pack Abs

One of the first things you are going to need to do to get six pack abs is modify your diet.  You want to burn the fat covering up your muscles - everybody has ab muscles, but most are hidden by unattractive flab - and this is done by decreasing the carbohydrates you eat so your body starts burning fat instead of the carbs you are eating on a daily basis.

If you want ripped six pack abs, you're going to have to cut back on the carbs - pasta, rice, bread, potatoes, fruit and sugar - and replace them with proteins (meat, fish, eggs) and vegetables.

If you are not crazy about increasing your intake of animal products to be able to cut back on carbs while bumping your protein consumption, search on "vegan protein" in Google to find non-animal substitutes.  Some excellent vegetable sources of protein are the following: sprouts, spinach, kale, broccoli, parsley, hemp seeds, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, tomatoes and almonds.

Once a week you will have to eat some carbohydrates - a plate of pasta and some bread will certainly do the trick - so your body doesn't think it is starving in which case it will then try to hold on to its fat reserves, doing the exact opposite of what we want to happen.

The quest for ripped six pack abs is a journey that will require you to get a good workout regimen as well as finding a diet that is going to help you achieve your goals, not one that is counter-productive to your efforts.  You only have 1 body and everything you do to it - and put into it - counts. 

It's like eating a healthy vegetable salad with just a touch of oil dressing and washing it down with some spring water, then going out to smoke a cigarette or two before you finish up your lunch.  Sure, you are eating well, but you are also doing something completely counter-productive to good health in smoking... 

So if you are serious about getting your ripped six pack abs for summer, you are going to have to modify your diet in addition to finding the a great abs workout.
