Losing belly fat has always been a hot topic that people write about, whether it be the food you eat or the exercises that you do. This article is designed to help condense all the information into easy and to-the-point tips that I've found to be helpful and do-able.
What do I eat?
Avocados: I love eating these in guacamole form. Just add a little bit of salt, some chopped onions, lemon, spicy sauce (sriracha, aka rooster sauce). This is the good fat known as monounsaturated fat which will help with losing belly fat.
Almonds: Whenever a small meal doesn't leave me completely satisfied, I just eat a handful of plain almonds and it not only keeps me full but also cuts down the belly fat with the monounsaturated fat that they contain.
Salmon: Try it healthy by baked or grilled. Season it with your favorite seasoning or sauce. Salmon has healthy omega 3 fatty acids that not only help lose belly fat but help with lowering cholesterol.
How do I workout?
Interval Training: Run or walk at a moderate pace and increase your speed to a sprint or speedwalk for a minute and then go back to normal speed. If you are running outside, use visual cues like sprint to the end of the block, then resume moderate pace and repeat until you finish your workout (ideally 45 minutes). If you use the treadmill, then use time like 1 minute sprint or commercial breaks. If you are using music to help you, sprint during the chorus or verse.
Strength Training: A lot of women usually avoid strength training because they worry about "bulking up" too much and look like a man. The reality is, don't worry about that. Do the strength exercises that men do but you won't bulk up due to our body's natural testosterone level (which is way less than men).
CrossFit style workouts: These workouts are a great combination of high intensity in short time with strength training. Usually workouts are no longer than 15 minutes but it's 15 minutes of hell. If you are not left breathless at the end, then you are doing something wrong. I find the lunges and burpees (hands on floor, legs jump out to push up position, jump back to hands and jump up) very tiring and most beneficial for your legs. I both hate and love them.
There are a lot more foods and exercise that help lose belly fat but these are my recommendations on what I use for my exercise and diet plan.
High protein food and lack of exercise caused fatness and weight gain.Exercise and proper diet are very important to lose weight and improve fitness. Avoid all high protein food like meats, nuts, grains, cheese, fast foods, fried and dairy products. Eat fresh fruits, vegetables, yogurt, drink green tea, fruit juices and plenty of water. Go for walking, running, cycling, practice push ups, bench press and chair squat. It improve mood, burns fat, make strong bones and muscles, boost energy, improve heart functions and improve fitness.
