What to Expect When Starting Insanity

Alright so you may have heard all the hype about some of the Beach Body workout programs like Insanity, p90X, Turbo Fire and others. Insanity has been one of the top-selling workout programs in recent years and there is a reason for that. IT DELIVERS RESULTS, however you should also know what to expect when starting Insanity.

1. Move at your own pace

Once you start Insanity you will quickly discover that it is one of the hardest programs around. You will feel exhausted before you even get through the warm up! This should NOT make feel discouraged. You need to be prepared to pause the video dozens of times to catch your breath. There is no need to beat yourself up when you can't keep up with the trainers.Your only focus should be toward GETTING THROUGH THE WHOLE THING. No matter how many times you need to pause the video.

2. Keep Proper Form

A lot of the moves that you will be doing during this program may be unlike anything you have ever done with your body before. This is why it is critical that you take the time to listen to the instructions, and carefully watch how Shaun T. does each move. When done correctly, you will see great results doing this program. However, if you are over-confident, think you know the moves, and then execute them wrong, you are risking injury and/or muscle strain.

3. Changes in Appetite

Because of the intensity of this workout, you are going to be experiencing a pretty significant calorie burn. You may start to notice yourself being a bit more hungry and thirsty in the time after your workouts. This is because your body is metabolizing at a higher rate and therefore needs a bit more replenishment more often. Be sure to reference the Insanity Nutrition Guide that accompanies the workout. This will help you to find out what your recommended calorie intake is, and also gives you a ton of recipes to follow which will give you all of the good stuff that you need to keep your body revved and your energy levels up.

4. keeping yourself motivated

You need to be able to keep yourself motivated. There are going to be times when you will simply not feel like working out. This is the reason it is extremely important to remind yourself why you are doing it in the first place. Make sure that you WRITE DOWN the core reasons that you want to get in shape. After you write everything down, you need to post the paper up somewhere that you will see it everyday.

Insanity is something that many people start, but only a small amount of people are able to finish. That is why it is important to know what to expect, and get yourself mentally prepared when starting Insanity!
