Many people spend much of their day sitting. They sit at their desks while they are at work or at school, and they sit in front of the television or computer when they come home. After a long day of sitting, it is a good idea to be active for at least 30 minutes. Why?
One reason why it is smart to get some exercise after your day is because stress has built up inside you. Release it, and you will feel better. You will be more relaxed, you will be able to enjoy your evening, and you should be able to sleep well, which will help you to be rested for the next day, when you will return to work or school. In addition to stress relief, there is another reason to get some exercise: weight control.
Maintaining a healthy weight will help you to feel better and will allow your clothing to fit better. It is also very likely that you will be able to avoid having problems at work as a result of gaining too much weight. Instead, you will be more likely to be allowed to keep your job and succeed in it.
Choose an activity that you enjoy, such as walking or running, and engage in this activity for at least 30 minutes. When you have finished your workout, you can resume your other activities. When you get back to what you were doing before your workout, you will likely notice several things.
If you were writing an article, poem, or short story, you may have new ideas for your piece. You may want to rewrite it, so that you are approaching it from a different angle. You might also want to vary your sentences a bit more so that the writing will sound more mature. In addition to changes that will help your work, physical activity will help you, as well.
It will help you to focus on your work. Rather than feeling restless, you will be more likely to be able to stay on task and get your work done. Besides helping your concentration, exercise will help you in another way. It will help you to get a good night's sleep.
After getting some exercise, you should be tired at the end of the day. Therefore, you should be able to drift off to sleep quickly, rather than lying awake, tossing, and turning. You should sleep well, dream sweet dreams, and wake up ready for another day.
Take some time today to step away from your sedentary activities, get some exercise, and you will notice how good you feel.
