Parkour Tutorial Sites - Identifying Legit Sites

What Is Happening

Parkour is becoming more and more popular. Parkour videos are going viral on the web, parkour tutorial sites are popping up, promising that you'll be doing backflips off of 10 foot stories in no time. Tutorial videos are popping up.

You may even be walking down the street, or hanging by the park, and you'll see people jumping over park benches. Doing front flips off of benches, over stairs, on the ground. It is insane seeing what they can do. And a lot of people want to learn how to do parkour.

But there is one thing you have to keep in mind, because it is popular now, a lot of people are going to be trying to get you to buy a program teaching you, and then have it be complete crap. So you need to be able identify who and what sites are really trying to help you.

Identifying Legit Parkour Tutorial Sites

If you see a web page with big words saying "click here" to learn parkour, but have very little information, then chances are they are probably selling you crap. Another thing to look for, and this is perhaps the biggest thing, are videos.

Parkour tutorials are hard to give by words. If a trainer sent you a message saying "To do a kong vault, you need to run towards an edge, throw your ends out, thrust your hips up to a 45 degree angle, jump off with your hands and bring your knees through your arms." You literally will have no idea of how to do a kong vault.

So what do you need to look for instead of parkour tutorial sites that give you information through text? You need to look for sites that have instructional videos.

Parkour Instructional Videos

Any instructor worth his stuff will have instructional videos. But there are also a lot of BS videos out there. You need quality parkour instructional videos, done by professionals. You don't want a video by a 12 year old kid jumping off a bench, saying if you roll like that then you can safely jump off a 15 foot building.

Parkour is a dangerous sport, so you want someone with some authority before you try jumping off of any buildings. People like the Tapp Brothers. They are some of the most well known parkour's around. They have been part of several commercials, and have taught several people. The Tapp Brother's instructional videos are also some of the best around.
