Eye Exercise #1
Figure 8 - This eye exercise will help increase the flexibility of your eye muscles. Move your eyeballs in the shape of a figure 8. Imagine your eyes are a pen or pencil and your are drawing an eight. Try doing this for 8 to 10 breaths and keep in mind breathing is very important while doing this exercise.
Eye Exercise #2
The Box - This exercise is very similar to the figure 8 but instead focus on drawing a box with your eyeballs. Start by checking your posture, then without moving your head or neck, look up, to your left, look down and then to your right. Your eyeballs are making the shape of a box. If done correctly, you will see the silhouette of your nose when you are looking down to the right and left.
Eye Exercise #3
The Hot Dog - Hold your two pointer fingers about 8 inches in front of your face at eye level and look across the room or out a window at the other end of the room. When you do the exercise correctly, you will see a little mini wiener floating between your 2 fingers. Next look at your fingers and you will notice the wiener will disappear. Refocus back and forth 12-15 times and remember to breath in and out while performing this exercise.
Eye Exercise #4
Palming - This exercise is probably the most popular. Rub you hands together to create some heat, put the fingers of your right hand over the fingers of your left hand and then close your eyes gently. With your hands still together, put your palms over your eyes and relax into each calming breath.
Eye Exercise #5
The Hitch Hiker - Sit comfortably and bring your arms straight out without bending your elbows and your thumbs up facing up at eye level. This will look like you're hitch hiking with both arms straight in front of your face. Focus on your thumbs and then slowly start spreading your arms to either side of your body. Do this motion slowly while looking at your right and left thumb alternatively while spreading the span. Do not move your head or neck and just let your eyes follow. Now move your hands back to centre slowly, while focusing on your thumbs alternatively again.
Breathing and posture is very important when doing these exercises.
