Fathers Courage In Doing Household Chores For Mother

Doing home budgeting, buying grocery items, doing wet market jobs and also preparing food at the table are responsibilities usually assigned to mothers, to our moms, to us, because i am also a mother of four..

But as we noticed nowadays, in a grocery store, there are many incidents that men are doing this chore, sorting out the lists that his wife provided for him. There are also times that father is the one preparing food for the table especially when mother is not at home to do it.

What i want to poin out is that, I ADMIRE THE COURAGE of all the daddys in the world doing this task, especially those who goes to wet market to buy meat, fish and veggies for the table. They seem to be responsible enough to be aware if the fish is still fresh, what kind of meat he has to buy for a certain dish, what are the veggies to pick as an ingredient or as a side dish, but most important, what kind of food they plan to cook for dinner, breakfast , today and for the next day.

It seems that they don't care if it is a job for mothers, they want to do it, and they will do it. And those women whose husband have that courage should be very thankful because their partner in life is so understanding and open minded and don't care about themselves only, but for the whole family. You are so lucky to have a husband who possess that attitude, cherish them and give value and appreciate them. That simple consolation from the wife will make them happy and motivated. A word of thanks is enough.

For those husbands that just love to do cooking and simply the main reason why they cook, whether they are just experimenting or not, it maybe unintentional but still you are a great help to the family.

But here is what catches my attention most... a father who is buying pieces of sanitary napkin for his daughter or his wife in a sari-sari store without hesitation

Doing this in a grocery is not yet a big deal because it is included in the list and it is not being singled out. But in a situation where a certain father approach a sari-sari store and ask for a specific brand of sanitary napkin is such a big thing.

It can be humiliating on their part because of what we call manly image most fathers wanted to show to the people in the neighborhood. That is why i really admire them, it only shows how good and loving father they are, they don't care what people might think, all they care about is being a responsible father, their main concern is the welfare and needs of their children. and because of that i salute all fathers who possess the courage, bravery and being responsible.

Street Talk

It says alot about a man when he can and will do what ever it takes to provide for his family. This is such a good perspective and sometimes ignored. Fathers need to be acknowledged for things like this so that they can continue to feel good about what they are doing and eliminate any fear of putting themselves out there for their family.
