50 Shades Of Grey - A Phenomenon Of Feeling

The Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy, written by E.L. James, has been and continues to be a phenomenon! There is no other way to describe it.

But now the question is Why?

Without condoning in any way much of what happens in the book, it is all about submission, feelings and desire! Human relationships can be complicated at the best of times, throw in some BDSM {Bondage & Sado-Masochism} and it becomes a whole different ball game, so to speak.

But Why you ask yourself would someone willingly allow themselves to be placed in that position?

What makes an intelligent young woman submit to such treatment, well in some small way it comes from a desire to be accepted, a desire to be loved and a desire to feel secure. Can someone truly feel secure within that type of relationship. Is it not just the ellusion of security!

And why, you may ask, does this book which portrays a woman being treated like a sex object, have such a readership of women? The reason, I believe, is from women's desire to feel! Feel Emotion, Feel desire and feel wanted, in a very real way. And that is what this book allows women to feel, by placing themselves in this young woman's position!

And men just do not understand that, they cannot, it is not within their capacity to feel in that way! They are not designed to work that way! Is that a shock to you! It should not be, after all aren't men from Mars and women from Venus!

And the submission! Why does she submit? What is it about this man that would cause her to submit in that manner? Submission is never easy, none of us likes to submit, we all desire to be in control of our situation and circumstances! But in truth None of us truly is, and maybe that is the subtle message of this book about that aspect of our existence!

So the storyline is briefly like this, a young attractive educated woman, called Anastasia Steele, is attracted to and befriended by a young handsome businessman, called Christian Grey. Hence the name 50 Shades of Grey! And as this friendship deepens and becomes physical, Anastasia signs over control of her life to Christian. And he controls Every aspect of her life, and she is required to fulfill all his desires and fantasies, which include bondage and sado-masochism.

And yet you may ask, who is truly in bondage to whom?
