Many authors claim to have create the best fantasy book in the world but only a few can take even a glimpse into the world of greatness. Many classical novels have made it into the hall of fame but with fantasy becoming one of the most sought after genre in books we are finding that many new authors have created amazing books and epic series.

Robert Jordan who created the well known Wheel of Time series could be considered one of the best Authors of our generation. The wheel of time series takes a classical approach of a single good and a single evil that must fight in order to save the world. The difference is how the world is built in comparison to other fantasy books. As you learn more about the world you get to seedifferentsocities and how they interact with each other. This was amazing part of the series that I could take back into the world and see where he took some of personalities. Mixing this with the amazing Magic and sword fights one could not want more of a great story. Now the problem that many have with The Wheel of Time series is with the woman mages known as Aes Sedai. They completely ruinthe last couple books with their whining and the way they make men out to be worthless sperm donors. In fact the best part is when Rand (maincharacterwho is a magic user) completely destroys how woman think of themselves.

Sadly, Robert Jordan died before finishing his series but luckily left a complete set of notes on how the series will end and in what way. Jordan's wife then interviewed manydifferent authors to complete the series and finally settled on Brandon Sanderson. Brandon Sanderson was a life longfriendof the family and has an amazing series called Mistborn and several stand alone novels that have made the best seller list. He has already completed the last of the books for the Wheel of Time series while working on his epic series known as the Stormlight Archives.

The best Fantasy novel of the current age comes from the Stormlight Archives. The Way of Kings is the first book in a major series that Brandon Sanderson has released. It is extremely captivating and even though it is 1008 page long or 46 hours by audio book the Way of Kings puts other books to shame. It has taken the knowledge gain from the wheel of time and from the Mistborn novels to create a work ofliteraturethat many authors strive to reach.
