Fishing With Little Money

Not everyone can go out and buy the best and thats okay because fishing with little money in almost all cases will have no negative results in your fishing trip. Yes you do need to make sure you have the right supplies for the fish you will be going after. However having the right supplies doesnt mean getting a second mortgage on your house or trading in your first new born.

When it comes to fishing its important to know that the fish will never know the difference when you are catching them on gear that may not be super expensive.

I have had the luxury of fishing with very expensive gear and I have done lots of fishing with little money as well. In life people go through things and cant always have the best. The nice thing is I didnt need to give up fishing. I went to the local retail store and bought an entire set up for less then fifty bucks. When I say an entire set up I mean rod, reel with line, small tackle box and even some lures inside the tackle box. So now I had a brand new set up and it was time to see how it would do with fishing.

As the day came to an end I was very happy with the results. All day long I caught fish and had no real problems with the equipment. The only problems were the same sort that anyone would have also had with a very expensive set up. So when it comes to fishing the fact that the gear costs so much doesnt always make it the best to use.

When we talk about fishing with little money there are certain times when possible you may want to spend a few more dollars. If I had to make a choice I would spend a little more on my tackle. Name brand tackle is no doubt better quality then the cheap no name stuff. It is nice to spend money on all the high end items but in the end its really not needed. A cheaper rod and reel in most cases will last longer then the cheap tackle you can buy.

One more thing to consider when fishing with little money is the bait you are going to use. With a limited budget you will ask yourself what are you going to use to catch fish? It really sucks when you get to a spot and yo see everyone catching fish but you also realize you brought along the wrong bait and now you need to deal with it. It is important to focus on trying to bring a higher number of baits and lures. The size of your tackle box wont matter much because even the smallest tackle boxes will hold a large number of lures and baits. Spend less on a rod and reel and focus on the lures and baits.

When you are catching a fish are you really thinking about how much you paid for your rod and reel. Fishing is about being relaxed and allowing nothing to bother you. As long as you keep on fishing cost will never be an issue.

Yes for sure no need to bread the bank to get fishing gear, reminds me alot of golf equipment, no need to break the bank on clubs either. I too have used really nice gear and it is nice, but at the same time it is not really just the gear that is catching the fish is it, it is a combinationo of factors. Nowl bait what is working the day you go out, I can almost catch fish anywhere with worms any time. i find worms are the most versatile bait and are inexpensive and easy to transport, easier than minnows although another good choice..few hooks some plastics and your set....
