My Favorite Sausage Recipe

Crumble beef and pork into the oven; Stir in water and onions.Heat to a boiling point. Then Reduce the heat once it's boiling. Simmer uncovered and stir occasionally for a total of approximately 30 minutes. Spoon mixture into ungreased loaf pan. Cover and refrigerate until it's firm for about 8 hours. Unmold and cut into 1/2 inch slices. Fry in an ungreased skillet over medium high heat until it's brown and crisp on both sides. Then the best is always saved for last... SERVE...

Ingredients

1 pound Ground Beef

1/2 pound Ground Pork

3 cups of Water

1 medium Onion, Chopped

3 cups rolled Oats

1 tablespoon Salt

1 1/4 tablespoon ground cloves

1 teaspoon Ground All Spice

1 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg

3/4 teaspoon Pepper
