How often do you think about your feet?
This page is dedicated to feet and their importance in our lives.
We wake up every day and as soon as we get out of bed our feet hit the floor. They're there with us all day. Even when we're sitting down they keep us balanced in our chairs at work, lunch - wherever we are. They are always there to keep us upright.
How much attention do we really pay to them? Perhaps when we get a blister after buying a new pair of shoes - that makes sense. I've been there too. And what about when you buy a new pair of shoes or boots that don't fit well, but you get them anyway, just so you can look good? So we stuff our feet into shoes that don't really fit - all for the sake of trying to feel good about ourselves or to keep up with the current trends.
So why are trends important? Because they make us feel like we're not left out. They make us feel like we belong.
I'm just saying, take a step back and think about your feet. They're important too. Where would you be without them?
Should it have to take something to happen to them for you to wake up and notice how important they are?
I think someone has to speak up for feet and give them a voice. We take them for granted and yet they never let us down.
So think about how many kilometers or square miles you've walked in your lifetime. On that note - think about how often you stopped and thought about your feet. If your'e like me, you only complained when they were sore or aching after a long walk or game.
Perhaps you can give your feet a break. No - not a break:/ - A holiday. Give them a a couple of weeks of soaking each day, when you get the time. Take your shoes off and walk around on the grass or on the beach and see how it makes you feel.
You can leave all comments at the end of this article. Just leave your age, reason for why you wear the shoes you do; the results after walking around without shoes. There are no names required. This will be private between you, your feet and me!
Check back and I will give you the results!
Interesting article, but I'm afraid I neglect my feet till they ache...
