NFL Recap New England 20 Dallas 16

Tony Romo got an up close and personal experience of what he wants to become as a quarterback in the National Football Legaue.  His name is Tom Brady, and he plays for the New England Patriots, and this news just in, their really good.

The Dallas Cowboys played the Patriots on Sunday almost to a dead heat.  They held Tom Brady and his mates to a mere 13 points, as they got heavy pressure on the QB all day long.  They finished with three sacks, and several other times Brady landed on his back after throwing.  The running game never really got going either, as they were led by BenJarvus Green-Ellis with 58 yards on 14 carries.

Dallas was in the exact same boat.  Romo had almost identical numbers to Brady in the end, and the running totals were similar as well.  The Cowboy defense was spectacular all day, and after holding Brady to a three and out with about four minutes left, the lack of a run game really came home to roost.  In the end when Dallas had the chance to end the game with a couple of first downs, their running game just could not succeed.  They ran three consecutive times in a futile effort to run out the clock, but they couldn't manage the ten yards needed to get a first down.  They punted the ball back to Tom Terrific with just about two minutes left.

Up until this point there was no clear difference between the two judging by the stats, or the score of the game.  Brady has shined in his career during pressure situations, his ability to come from behind to win is evident by him having done it over 30 times.  His passes were sharp and on time, just like the routes his recievers were running.  He runs the two minute drill like an orchestra, and he is the conducter, no the Maestro.  He drove his team down to the red zone, and with only seconds remaining tossed a perfect strike to star tight end Aaron Hernandez.  Dallas and Romo were sent home crushed once again.

With the win the Patriots are now keeping pace in the AFC west with the upstart Buffalo Bills, who finally lost this week to the Eagles, as they head into the bye week.  The Cowboys can lick their wounds and go back home sitting at 2-3, as they look to get right again next week as they host the St. Louis Rams.  Head Coach Jason Garrett knows that something must be done to improve this running game.  It could be the difference between his team making the playoffs at 10-6, or missing the playoffs at 6-10.

Steelers Turn the Tables on Patriots

Super Ending for Super Bowl Rematch
This game was eerily similar in the way that it ended, minus the helmet catch, that it almost seemed like you were watching a replay of the Super Bowl from 2007. Brady led the Patriots to a late touchdown to put them up 20-17 with only 1:36 remaining on the…
