Tim Tebow Mania

Just when the Jets think they made the deal of the century by trading for Tim Tebow, out comes a former Jets superstar with his own opinion of Tim Tebow Mania.

Whats new?

Seems Boomer Esiason has spoken out on his radio show that if he were in charge he would cut Tim Tebow immediately. He says this in no way shape or form is benefiting the team. Quoted as saying: "All you have to do is watch him throw the ball, just watch him" Seems Boomer is not very impressed by Tebow Mania. he made the same suggestion that Denver should cut Tebow last year, and one has to believe that maybe Boomer is just not buying into any of the hype surrounding this guy. Well, he is in the minority.

Tim's response!

"I wish him nothing but the best in his announcing, God bless him" Now how can you not like a guy this humble? Tim Tebow Morals for sure! In discussing Boomers comments, Tim stated that he has heard it all before, when they said he could not play quarterback in high school, then collage, then the NFL.He just keeps his faith and moves along.

How are the jets really doing?

Aside from having a field clearing brawl that almost landed in the fans lap, all could not be better. Attendance to practices is beyond belief, and the Jets bottom line this year should be awesome! They are if nothing else the most interesting team of the year by far. They have created their own brand called Tim Tebow and I expect them to take it all the way to the bank. You can already hear the cries from the fans getting geared up to shout "Tebow" "Tebow" the first time Mark Sanchez has a bad day.. Mark on the other hand, has got to be shaking his head and wondering what he ever did to end up in this circus like training camp.

So what is your take? Is Boomer on the mark here, ( No pun intended ) in saying what he said, or do you think this combination of two starting quarterbacks will work in today's game? Are the Jets really out to win football games or are they more in the market to increase their bottom line? Some very interesting questions that only time will answer. I am putting my money on this team at least going 10 wins, but I can not say how pretty they will be.

I think Tim Tebow is very brave. I also think he has a good moral and spiritual influence on the team and on football as a whole. However, I don't watch much pro football, so I don't know how effective he is as a quarterback.

I should have one of my brothers answer this. I do like and watch football. Didn't have much choice growing up - that's all that was on. I've even been known to throw a spiral football a few times. Not Warren Moon pretty but, I got it done. Not sure how Tebow will do or how nice New York fans will be to him but, one thing is for sure. You have got to Love this guy and from a female's view...pretty nice to look at too,

9th Sept will tale the tail when the Bills defense get stuck into them. Then roll on the 30th when the 49ers get at them.

Whether as sports fans we like it or not the "bottom line" is important. No profit = fail to compete or even survive. A few well known soccer teams in the UK have gone under in recent years.
