When I was a young girl, my Mom had a room that was called her ironing room. I have never known anyone to have a room used such as this before. This was back in 1965 when you did not leave the house unless you had an ironed crease in your pants. My Mom even ironed our sheets and undies. Seriously, it is true and there were always so many clothes in there. There were five kids in our family, let me tell you, she was a busy woman.

I am sure there must have been days that she longed for more space to hang all those clothes (or maybe even a better dryer!). Have you ever wished you had more closet space? I know that I have. If you live in a house or an apartment with little to no closet room, what are your options? If you rent, you won’t be able to do any type of construction. And even if you own a home, you may not have the funds to reconstruct a room.

Maybe you feel stuck for solutions as my mom did. There is always the option of a mobile garment rack. As I looked around to see what designs I could choose from; I did not find a whole lot that would be truly heavy duty and look nice. I also found that they don’t seem to be made so much as a decorative piece but more as a functional item.

I did find one that looked like it could fit my needs. This heavy duty clothes rack with wheels and a white cover, stands at 76” tall x 48” wide x 18” deep, it has a rod for hanging things; the shelves are ventilated and they hold 300 – 500 pounds per shelf.

I read a review where the consumer called it a beast and they went on to say how very, very sturdy it is. She said the shelves held her and she weighed 170 pounds.
