Every journey starts with a step and every victory involves practice.
The difference between a dream and a goal is belief. While a dream is something that seems unattainable, the goal is an achievable target.
When we embark in accomplishing something and we commit to do every single day an action which is getting us closer to our goal, we ultimately succeed in reaching the target.
People know just a little out of what they imagine that they don’t know. But, the truth is that there is a lot more of what they even don’t know that they don’t know.
Starting in setting goals with what we believe we can do is a mistake because we just don’t know what we really can do.
Embarking on average goals limits us from getting the achievements we are capable of.
If you think you cannot start your own business you’ll be all your life an employee.
If you think you cannot earn more than $100,000 per year, that’s the maximum you’ll get.
And if you think you cannot win a competition, you won’t.
Most people set modest goals because they’re afraid to not be disappointed in the case they won’t be able to reach them.
In this way they cut themselves any possibility to achieve more in their lives.
Think about that. What do you have to lose if you settle a high goal – something you dream to accomplish but you don’t see for the moment how you could get it?
And then, you start to do each and every day something, just a little step which can get you closer to your goal.
Let’s imagine you’d want to have your own business and set yourself free from a 9-5 daily job.
For the moment, you cannot see any clear way to reach your goal.
But you start to do something daily: study different business opportunities and ideas, think about what you would like to do, look to what other people are doing, read books on the subject, read entrepreneurs’ stories, learn how to do business, go to a training course for entrepreneurs, and so on and so forth.
Every piece of information you get and every thought you give to the subject will finally add on and form a much structured idea about what you could do to start your business.
There are people who started from zero business knowledge and experience and built multi-million dollar companies.
As long as it was possible for them, why wouldn’t it be possible for you?
When we embark on a target and commit to do each and every day a small step towards it, we are half way closer to our goal.
All the steps we are doing build on the progress which accumulates in time.
This is the secret of achieving anything.
Why wouldn’t you think today on something special you’d want to get and just get started?
