Bad Golf Slice - Is There A Cure?

There is nothing more frustrating than a bad golf slice. It can happen to anyone at any given time. When it does happen it can and will ruin a round. It can be fixed with some time and effort. An overnight fix is not possible but you can get there.

A bad golf slice can happen to anyone. Even professional golfers do it occasionally. If they have it happen to them it is no surprise that it happens to us amateurs. What can be surprising though is the frequency to which it happens. Bottom line, it happens to every golfer. Just more for some than others.

A bad golf slice is not caused by any one single thing. Your grip can effect it as well as your body position. If you you pull your head or hesitate for a split second. My point is there are many things that all contribute to a slice. So focusing on one thing will not completely fix the problem.

The one thing more disturbing thing than the number of things that went wrong with the shot is how it will affect your round. Everything can be going as planned and with one swing of the club the wheels seem to fall off. The only thing worse than where your ball lands is the damage that is done in your head. After the first slice, you start waiting for the next and the next. The concern is not about what shot you are trying to hit anymore. Now you are just worried about trying not to slice. That adds up to serious problems.

Good News, a bad golf slice can be fixed. It is not going to be a snap of the fingers fix but it is possible. Just like everything else in life it is going to take time and hard work. Have you ever heard the phrase "practice makes perfect"? Well that is only the half of it. Obviously being out on the course is not going to hurt you any. But there are also many drills and lessons that you can do that will greatly help you. You can make this evil little golf shot disappear!

Like I said a bad golf slice happens to everyone. With some time and effort you can start to see that slice less often. When you start slicing your golf shots less you will see smaller numbers on the score card. That is something that we all want to see!
