Golf Courses Around The World II

I started this quest out in Scotland because golf originated in Scotland and I thought that would be the best place to start. This is about golf courses around the world so let’s go on the other side of the world for the next set of golf courses.

Let us look at a few courses in the very beautiful state of Hawaii, beutiful islands surrounded by Blue Ocean and scenery second to none in the world.

Ko’ olau Golf Course, Oahu

It must have been a massive undertaking to build this golf course where it was built. They were to have a 200-acre course and needed to carve 1500 acres out of the jungle. In 1991 that is just what they did, achieving excellence and the best golf course on Oahu.

This golf course has been dubbed “The World’s Most Challenging Golf Course”, with good cause as this par 72 course give all challengers the toughest course they have ever played, sounds interesting to say the least.

The Ko’olau is a private course with memberships at $3,500.00 or for two family members $4,500.00 annually. The Ko’ olau Golf Course is located at 45 – 550 Kionaole Road, Kaneohe, Oahu, it is just 20 minutes away from Waikiki. Not sure if the public can arrange for a tee time. If you happen to know a member, he or she will be able to get you a tee time.

If you are interested in the Ko’olau Golf Course, Oahu look them up on the internet for more information.

Wailea Golf Club

They advertise excellent weather with a slight breeze, reading this makes you start looking for your travel agents number, oh yeah along the ocean. Three outstanding golf courses are awaiting you at the Wailea Golf Club.

The Gold, Blue and Emerald course are situated in paradise, of course, they are its Hawaii, and the scenery is breathe taking. The Emerald course is said to be women friendly according to Golf for Women Magazine. The Emerald is one of two courses that are designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr.

The Wailea Golf Club is located at 100 Wailea Golf Club Drive, Wailea, Maui, Hawaii, and this is a private/public resort with tee times starting at $ 190.00 or so. They have package deals that can make that price somewhat cheaper; more you play the less you pay.

If you are interested in another golf course in paradise that boasts the scenery the amenities and a world glass golf course, check out their website for details.

Kahili Golf Course

As if anything in Hawaii is situated around anything, that is not simply amazing scenery and Kahili is no different. The golfer will face challenges throughout the course with its hills and valleys among the picturesque views.

The par threes will give you a challenge at every turn with the hills and the par fours will push your limits as you go forward. The par fives are for those long hitters that can just drive the ball screaming towards the greens.

The Kahili Golf Club is located at 2500 Honoapiilani Highway, Wailuku, Maui just ten minutes from the Kahului airport. Kahili is a public course and has great tee prices starting at $ 50.00 for residents and $95.00 for non-residents.

Wanting to book that golf vacation right now, can’t wait to get the golf courses of Hawaii and surrounding Islands in your vacation plans look them up on the internet and enjoy.
