There are a lot of golfers out there that still don’t know the proper way of swinging a golf club. It may appear very easy when watching pro golfers play, but it does take a lot of practice in order to perfect the golf swing mechanics. Once you mastered the proper golf swing, you can use it for the rest of your golf games. If haven’t noticed, most professional golfers always use the same golf swing mechanics in every shot, unlike the amateurs who usually use unique and inventive swings in each shot.
As a golfer you should always look for methods that can help improve your golf swing mechanics. Improving your body alignment with the club, golf ball and hole is the first step towards improving your mechanics.
Golf is not like the other sports such as archery where the archer can see the target through the arrow before the string is released or in shooting where before pulling the trigger the shooter first look through the scope or below the barrel to aim at the target. The golfer doesn’t have this kind of opportunity to aim directly at the hole when hitting the ball. Straddling the target line while attempting a shot is not allowed in the game of golf. So the best way to deal with this disadvantage is to come up with a strong routine and at the same time enhancing the golf swing mechanics.
Establishing a target line is the first step in your golf routine. A good way to do this is by drawing an imaginary line from your target going back to your ball while standing behind it. Try to imagine the down lines in NFL as you see it on TV. You can easily approach and hit the ball after committing to this target line. Once you clearly visualized and established your target line, your next step will be more on focusing at your established target line instead of the actual hole. You will have to align your club as you approach the ball from behind. It is important that you keep the bottom groove of your club face perfectly intersecting or perpendicular to your target line.
You can now set your feet once you have properly aligned your golf club face. Always keep each foot positioned in a way that it has an equal distance from your target line. The toe line is the imaginary line made from one toe to the other. This toe line must always be kept parallel to your target line. If correctly done, your toe line will have to be pointed almost 10 yards to the left side of the target line on a mid iron shot. With all these things in mind, your golf routine should now be composed of creating a target line, aligning your club face and establishing your toe line. Properly executing all these parts in your routine will greatly increase the accuracy of your shots and significantly improve the quality of your golf swing mechanics.
