South African Charl Schwartzel won The Masters Golf 2011 in a blaze of birdies in the final four holes at Augusta National Golf Club. Although well-known on the European Tour and in South Africa where he was a stellar golf amateur, he is little known in the U.S, -- until now! Who is Charl Schwartzel? What can he teach us that will help improve out golf game?

Who is Charl Schwartzel?

Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Charl is another one those great young players who were nurtured and tutored by their fathers in the game of golf at an early age. His dad was a an excellent amateur golfer, and his brother is an excellent golfer. Coming from a family of golfers, Charl received plenty of encouragement and support in the game of golf.

He became a professional in 2002 at the age of 18 through his impressive performance at the Qualifying School. The year 2010 was off to an unbelievable start when he completed 8 rounds of golf in two successive tournaments -- at 43 under par!

He has now added The Masters Golf 2011 to his growing list of wins, assuring him of a lifetime of invitations to play in The Masters and more chances to win this coveted Major tournament,
