Will Tiger Woods Win A Tournament This Year?

The last time Tiger Woods won a golf tournament was December 5, 2011 at Thousand Oaks, California. Before that win it had been a 26 tournament drought for Tiger and he was really struggling. Recently, golf fans have seen glimpses of the old Tiger surfacing, but he still lacked that edge that he once possessed. Tiger use to-be loaded with confidence and you could see it in his swagger, but you can-determine just by looking at him now that he does not command that presence anymore.

Tiger was once the finest golfer we have ever seen since Jack Nicklaus, until the scandal knocked him down a few notches. He was on the verge of breaking Jack's record of 18 Majors under his belt and Tiger-currently has won 14 Majors of his own. However, since Tiger's confidence vanished it has been a big disappointment to-be without any tournament wins at all. Confidence is a large part of an athlete's success in sports and without it an athlete is hopeless.

When Tiger was on top of his game, he was-surrounded by beautiful women all-of-the time. We all know as men how a beautiful sexy woman at our side can boost our confidence level tremendously. So, I am sure that has played a significant role in Tiger's game and why he is struggling so much now. Golf is-recognized-as-being a mental game, just as much as it is a physical one. Most professionals will tell you that the mental aspect of the game is the most crucial part of playing golf.

One of Tiger's many attributes use to-be the way he would be able to close out the tournament. He was exceptional in the last round and seized the moment when it mattered most. Tiger was lethal with his putter and that was a big reason-why he was so successful with a golf club. A putting distance of 5 to 10 feet was automatic for him, but-currently he can't sustain that consistency. In fact, it's not just his putting, he is having problems with driving as well.

Consistency is the key to-being a contender in golf and if you can't sustain that consistency throughout the four rounds of a tournament. You have some big concerns and once he is able to regain that it will make his game improve dramatically. Remember, when Tiger was on top of his game, it seemed he could do nothing wrong. Although, now it is just the opposite and he is attempting everything possible to-achieve that success he once attained.

In conclusion, fans are anticipating Tiger's comeback to-be on the horizon and when it arrives he transcend golf once again. Until that day all we can do is support him and wait for that astounding moment when he turns the corner. We all make mistakes and nobody is perfect, so once Tiger realizes that he can regain that everlasting-confidence back and apply it to his game. We believe that he will be unstoppable and unwavering just like he was in his-previous years. Is it possible for that Tiger to resurface or have we seen the last of one of the greatest golfers to ever play the game? Within the next few years Tiger will have his chance to prove himself and if he doesn't than he will still remain among the best to ever to play the game.

Tiger is improving quickly now and I believe he will be back at #1 in the world within the next year. As long as he stays healthy he will win a lot more tournaments!

Tiger just got injured and probably won't play in the Major coming up, but I thought he had a pretty good chance of finally getting a win. I think he will be good again, but never like he was. Great article!

Thanks Josh, he'll be back in a few weeks and earn a win very soon!

I think Tiger has a shot and i hope it is soon, I have always enjoyed watching him so the sooner the better.

I think he's getting close, just another month or so and he might return to his old form.

He just needs to dig in and get his mind right. Losing his wife, getting rid of his caddy, and all the BS he was in has caused a bunch of distractions within his mind. He has all the physical strengths and it will be his ability to get his mind back in condition.

Oh yeah its all mental and once he sustains some consistency he will be winning again.

Tiger has a great coach right now in Scott Foley. I hope they make a good team.

Hopefully it provides a good spark for him as well

Best thing about Tiger was that he was so exciting to watch. He could always come through with the amazing shot in the clutch. You don't just lose that....he just has to find where he misplaced it.

Yeah he was so clutch and would always rise to the occasion! I think he's almost there, a few more months and he will be back!

Tiger the greatest golf in the world, will return to the top, his problem being he lost his will to win when going through the life problem. He will get over this, and when he is pushed too far by negative press his will to win will return. Stand back America and the rest of the world he will return, not for the money but for the finger he can show the press. Being a golfer I know what confidence can do, today your up and tomorrow down but we are merely amateurs, Tiger knows his problems and he will sort it out.

Yes, I think he will return as well. I believe he is on the verge of breaking through the bull@!^* and when he does his game will be back in flawless-form! I just hate to see him struggle with that look on his face, I feel bad for him a little bit.

I see it as a learning curve, if his father was still around he would be back already, I think he has a guilt he could have discussed with him, once he can put the past behind him he will return to a form no other golfer in the world can match. Not even our countries Els and Goosen will win a major again, but Woods shall.

Plus, he still has plenty of time to do it. As long as his knees hold up he should be able to set some unreachable records.
