How would you like to build your own solar panels at home?  It is a pretty easy process that don't take much know how to make one.  It just requires some basic knowledge and tools. Having your own solar panels at home can save you thousand of dollars a year. The advantage of making your own over buying one already made is that with a little time and effort you will save A LOT of money.

Imagine Reducing your power bill 35-80% by putting these on your house. As the economy takes a turn for the worst it is hard to turn down free energy so you can save your hard earned cash on your family and other budgets besides your electric bill.

Of corse you can go out and buy pre-formed kits that can cost any where from $2000-4000 and you will use them a long time to get your money back. However a home made solar panel is cheaper and you won't spend near that much in your investment if you decided to build your own.

Some of the basic materials you will need is some copper wiring, silicone, glass, plywood and a few tools. The cells you will need to purchase are called photovoltaic cells. The cells are the most expensive part of your project. Your best bet is to find these cells online, like on ebay or amazon. They are a lot cheaper online then if you were to buy them through a home improvement company.

I made a small one, not for my house, but for my fishing boat. Have you ever been out fishing for a long day and your trolling motor battery dies? That sure puts an end to a great day fishing! Imagine a fully charged battery all day long, every time you go out.

It's a great little investment that don't cost much to build. You can make your very own solar panel for under $200. You will need to have a soldering gun and the equipment. Also you will need to have some kind of saw to cut your plywood to the size of panel that you will be making. The sun is a great source for  renewable energy.  Im sure in our life time there will always be sun and there will always be wind. So all this free energy out there just has to be harnessed and put to good use!
