Solar Panels For Homes

I want to contribute some ideas why solar panels for homes the goal for the 21st century.

Energy efficiency for the homes has changed over the past decades. Some homes built in the 70’s did not require insulation making it very uncomfortable. Besides your home being uncomfortable today without insulation your electricity would be high. If you are an environmentally conscious individual you would know a big amount of our electricity comes from coal. Coal pushes carbon dioxide into the atmosphere contributing to global warming. Coal burning also releases sulfur dioxide which I believe helps contribute to asthma.

We now have standards to insulate new homes to make them energy efficient. And the new standard for homes looks to be solar panels. Builders are now creating communities of homes with solar systems already built in. Where I live I saw an installation of solar photovoltaic cells to power a high school. The panels were nicely placed over a parking lot taking good advantage of the sun. I don’t think enough investment has been put on solar energy I remembered in school looking at the very small fraction of energy being dedicated to it. I believe there was a huge jump in the efficiency of solar panels.

Most of our power is consumed in buildings which involves about everything. One of our main consumption in power is keeping our food refrigerated. We also use power to keep us nice and comfortable. As mentioned at the beginning of this article we use coal to provide us with a lot of electricity. The less use of coal means less carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and less sulfur dioxide which contributes to breathing problems.

There is no standard what says you have to place insulation in you old home. So it should be the case for old homes without solar panels. You can get solar panels for your home by borrowing or leasing from companies for $80 per month. Panels can be purchased cheaply with government incentives bringing the cost to half as much for a solar system. You would be adding great value to your home because eventually every new home will have such a system.

To sum it up you want to get involved with using solar panels it will lower your electric bill. Your value for your home will be increased as it will be a modern home with a system. You will contribute to reduction of greenhouse gases.
