Alternative Hair Styles And Hair Systems

This season, we have seen that one of the most popular looks is the ‘alternative’ style – it seems like standing out is the new fitting in, with the competition to be the most ‘different’ extremely fierce, but always glamourous. Although some stars find it hard to see the line separating edgy and overdramatic, there are some who definitely get it right every time.

Thankfully, an alternative hairstyle is much more achievable look for those with all hair types. For example, short, curly hair can achieve a ‘different’ outcome by using certain products to tame the strands but keep the style chic. Applying mousse to damp hair and distributing evenly will hold the results once hair has been scrunched with a diffuser and fingers. Diffusers help to separate the hair but keep it tame while creating large waves. Once the hair is dry, curling irons can be used to create more perfected large, soft curls. Starting from the back, small sections can be wrapped around the curling iron to add body and volume to the result. From this point, hair can either be finished and showed off, or can be perfected to suit individual personalities – for example by backcombing the hair, blow-drying the fringe, or adding hair accessories.

While those with wavy hair are probably fed up, and think that they have limp hair with limited styling options, they couldn’t be more wrong. They are actually lucky – there is a perfect alternative hairstyle out there to suit anyone with wavy hair! Using certain products and styling techniques, a full and fancy do can be created to express attitude and elegance – a sure head-turner. As with styling short hair, mousse can be used before drying the hair, however this time the hair can be blow dried using a medium radial brush. This is good on medium to long hair types as it smoothes out the waves before further styling while still adding volume. The back of the hair can be blow dried to curve underneath, towards the nape, as well as the sides framing the jaw-line. This must be done until the hair is dry. This naturally will create a full-bodied, fun result, however as before, hair can be further perfected by back-combing or using wax at the ends to suit the style to your individual personality.

Before we continue, please don’t think that having brittle, short or even thinning hair means that you are unable to carry off an alternative style. Bloomsbury of London will tell you how to achieve these looks after suffering from any form of hair loss without using any surgical procedures.

Finally, long hair doesn’t mean boring! Long hair is one of the easiest to style in different ways, including using the ‘alternative’ methods. Again using mousse, hair can be dried using a large radial brush to smooth out waves. Like styling medium length wavy hair, use the brush to style the hair underneath, framing the nape and jawline. This time, any fringe or short sections of hair at the front should also be dried under too. Blow-drying the hair from the roots to the ends, large hot rollers should be used to then give hair large curls and extra volume. Wrapping hair around the rollers from the ends and securing them at the roots, the entire back section should be held in until the rollers cool. This will be enough for some people to create a more out there style than they are used to, but if you would like to take it further, why not use medium rollers on the side, or back comb them to even out the volume?

Don’t let hair loss limit your style options - let the Online Wig Store open up your opportunities.
