Awareness – The Secret to A Healthy Living

Ask yourself: What do you mean when you say healthy? Most of us think about the health of the physical body. So eating healthy foods, exercising… And that’s fine. Some think about the healthy mind. So positive thinking, choosing right persons for friendship and so on and that is also fine. And some are referring that the spiritual health is also important. So meditation, contemplation… Good. Then who’s right? How to choose what serves us best?

Well, you don’t have to worry about that. Why? Because everybody is different. So you may find one practice very useful for you and for someone other it will not work at all. So it really doesn’t matter what someone says, you just stick to your opinion about health right now. That’s your level of consciousness in the process of evolution right now. So you are right for you. And as your consciousness evolves your definition of health will change. And that’s perfectly fine.

So how do we determine what should we do to improve quality of our life?

Awareness. This is the secret, the key, call it whatever you want. Awareness of what? Of life itself. Life is happening every moment, but we are just not paying attention. That is why we are missing the point and we are not able to move forward. It is all about awareness. We are here to learn and experience everything, good and bad.We must accept that the good things and the bad things are going to happen no matter what.

We are used to react to events and not to observe them. This is our level of consciousness and awareness today. That is why is the World in such a chaotic state. I guess that’s why Jesus said that we are don’t know what we are doing because we are literally don’t. So this is, I would say, raw picture of the mechanism of life. So the first we need to work on, in our life, is applying awareness. And as I said this is not simple at all. That is why we develop methods and practice which help us with our awareness in everyday life. Like eating healthy foods. When do you start to eat healthy foods? When you are aware of how are the different foods impacting your health. When you are aware that not every food that taste good is healthy. When you are aware that eating different food is just another lesson where you will learn what food fits you best (remember everybody is different). First, you must be aware of what you want to know and then when you learn about it you can apply that knowledge in your everyday life. That is your way to a happy and healthy living. So remember, awareness is the key to happiness...
