People love television. Many people have favorite shows that they watch on a regular basis. They look forward to their shows, and they see their television time as a time to relax. There are other ways to relax, however, that do not involve sitting on your butt.
One way to relax after a hard day at work or school is to turn on some music. Listen to songs by your favorite artists. While listening, you might work out. After a good workout that includes exercises such as running and lifting weights, you should feel better. Music and fitness are not the only way to relax, however.
Another way to unwind is to get together with friends. Talk, and laugh. You might even go shopping. While shopping, you will be able to see the sights and get some exercise.
Finally, do something you love, such as cooking or photography. Giving up television will allow you the time to perfect your craft and get really good at it. There are a number of reasons why you might consider giving up television.
First, you will save money. The money you save can go toward your water or electric bill. It might also go toward your Internet bill. By using the money to pay your bills, you will have what you need and want.
Second, you will get more exercise. By being more active, you will feel more energetic, and your clothes will fit better.
Third, you will be able to avoid missing out on life. Many people record the shows that they want to see, which allows them to go out and do what they want to do. Many others want to stay home so that they can watch the shows in real time. They like the feeling of seeing a show, such as “The Voice” or “American Idol”, when it actually airs. That way, they get the feeling of sharing the experience with millions of other viewers across the country. By giving up television, you will be able to go out and have fun, rather than staying home to watch your shows.
Finally, you will get more sleep. Many networks air marathons of sitcoms such as “Roseanne”, “George Lopez”, “Everybody Loves Raymond”, and other shows that people enjoy. People who like these shows may have trouble pulling themselves away from the T.V. so that they can go to bed and get some sleep. If they gave up T.V., however, they would get the sleep that they need, which would allow them to be rested for the next day’s activities.
Perhaps you might consider giving up T.V. If you do, you will likely find new, creative, and productive ways to spend your time.
