Do You Think Your Life Sucks?

If you have this feeling, feeling low and everything seems wrong in your life...........just calm down and realize that you are not alone. This feeling is becoming a worldwide trend. Research shows that low level satisfaction for life is not related to outside factors or causes. It is mainly about what and how you think about the outside world. Dale Carnegie had said "Remember happiness doesn't depend upon who you are or what you have; it depends solely on what you think." Gallup's study in 2012 about global happiness level shows that the poorest countries are the happiest, and these include Panama, Paraguay, El Salvador, Thailand and the Philippines. The same study claims that people of Singapore are the most unhappy in the world, although Singapore is the third in the world in terms of economic measures, and is among the highest in GNP per capita.

Yes, economic conditions play a big part in feeling unhappy, but these are not the main causes for unhappiness. It is about how you react to negative conditions. If you feel that your life sucks.....you may have many reasons to think that way.....You may even have gone through some really tough times, and these hard circumstances have left their emotional burdens of you... and I feel strongly for you...because I had gone through some hard times before..and I also developed this attitude that ...Life Sucks..... and I know how bad it feels just to have this attitude......But.......

Things change...and more importantly is that we change...we change from the inside........we can change our thinking....our behavior....our responses...and ultimately our.....attitudes. We have a choice: either we blame outside causes and this way we remain unhappy and miserable.....or...we take action.....By taking action, I mean we do not surrender to these causes.....we believe in change......we choose to change things and become different...I quote here this remarkable saying by William James "Action may not always bring happiness, but there is no happiness without action.” We need to never give up hope. Hope is very motivating. You can hope for God’s Assistance, or for things to change or for your inner strength. It is a mental choice to hope. Mildred Barthel said this "Happiness is a conscious choice, not an automatic response." When you start to feel low, just stop and rethink. Can you change your response from the inside? Life has its ups and downs, and everyone goes through this cycle of life. When you change your response, you develop a new attitude. Your attitude is crucial according to Earl Nightingale who said "Our attitude toward life determines life's attitude towards us." It is important to realize that feeling low is usually connected to past memories and experiences, which means you are living in your past. This is a big common mistake. Never live in your past. According to Stephen Covey "Live out of your imagination, not your history."

Change your thinking and make it connected and focused on the future. This is the start of change. To survive, we need to change as Charles Darwin made this statement "It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change."

Do not doubt yourself, and keep focusing on the positive side of life.

Your personal journey in life may turn out to be a good journey.
