So much has been said about happiness and how to be Happy. You probably have heard the saying that happiness comes from within and not from outside. Things cannot make you happy; circumstances cannot make you happy you can only be happy.

Let’s discuss what happiness is. Happiness is a state of mind. So things outside yourself cannot make you happy. There are actually lots of people that have lots of material things, great jobs, and great families and are totally unhappy. Yet there are others that do not have much, perhaps not even the basics and they are totally happy.

So this tells us that happiness is a state of mind that we could control. Is it easy to do? I cannot say. For some seems easy for others is difficult. The one point I can make is that our brains are constantly being fed from different sources and this would certainly affect your happiness. So perhaps if we control what we feed our brains with we could control our happiness as well.

Our brains are being fed constantly with food, with news, with thoughts, with other people sayings, and with everything that surrounds us. We need to be careful choosing what we put in our minds. If you want to know how to be happy, here are some tips that if you include them in your life, they may completely affect your happiness

Five Tips on How to Be Happy

  1. -If you think that food does not affect our brains then think again. Everything you eat affects your mood. Do you wonder why you are feeling depressed? Perhaps you need to look at what you ate before blaming your life circumstances. Eat healthy, fresh fruits and vegetable and drink water and you will feel much happier.
  2. Exercise is vital for the regeneration of brains. Exercise activates certain hormones that make you feel happy. If you do not like exercise then I ask you to reconsider it, and do something that you enjoy, even if it is a walk in the park.Remember exercise and happiness are closely iinterlinked.
  3. News: The last time I watched the news 90% of them were bad news. So why watch them. Even though the news may not affect you personally, they will certainly affect your ability to be happy. It has been proven that if you want to be happy, you need to read and listen to happy things. If there is something terribly wrong in the news that you should know be certain that you will get to know it.
  4. Thoughts: Everything that you think affects your brain. You may have heard already that positive thought will generate positive results. This is not just a hypothesis. It has been proven. If you have a choice why feed your mind with negative thoughts. If you stimulate your brain with bad thoughts the results will be negative consequences. Stimulate your brain with positive thoughts and you will have positive consequences.
  5. If you surround yourself with negative and unhappy people even if you are positive you will end up being unhappy. There is a saying that says: “tell me who your friends are and I will tell you who you are”. So be with positive people if you want to be positive.

In conclusion if you were wondering how to be happy, you got the answer. Start putting these tips into practice and you will soon find the happiness you were looking. Then the universe will open doors for you that you may have never dreamed of.
