In the Beginning
It’s not hard to build your own custom computer from scratch, In the end you will feel more better about yourself and empowered that you did something you put your mind to, and you will save “A LOT” of money.
When you first decide to build a computer the first thing you should do is research own the specific type of computer you want to build, such as a gaming pc, hackintosh or video-editing pc. Once you decide what type of computer you want to build then you do research own hardware parts. Here is when your budget plan will come in handy.
Your budget plan is key because the idea is to spend less money you would if you’re brought a pre-built computer from dell or alien ware, or any other well-known manufactures. Today you can actually build a high preforming pc that less than $500 believe it or not.
Remember once you do your research own your parts you certain parts are ideal and you much have to have the system perform and ultimately work. Here is a list of common parts:
• CPU- Which is a central processing unit or processor this is the most important part without this you rig is only good for decoration.
• Motherboard - Just as it specifies it the mother which is equally just important as the CPU. Which out this your rig would only be good for decoration as I mention before.
• Ram – This is Random Access Memory Module without all the technical stuff you need it, so get it. Trust me you will thank me.
• Hard Drive – These are storage drives that keep your information you want to keep such as application, word processor documents, etc. You will need at least one of these, so get it.
• Power Supply – This is the power unit that powers your whole pc, depending on your hardware you need to purchase one that will hold up good with your unit, most basic computer don’t put out no more than I say 350 Watts if that, but if it’s a custom gaming or video- editing rig you want to amp it up.
• Case - This is the housing compartment for your build, to a lot of people the case is everything since it’s what you and everybody else see first when looking at your computer. I'm not big own this too much, I love black cases so that what I get. The choice is yours!
These are the basic components you need to build a working computer of course there are a lot of other computer hardware components you can add such as CD Drives, Memory Card Readers, Water Coolers, Etc. But these are just extra components or accessories and are not ideally needed to have a running pc.
The BuildNow that you did your research and got you parts, you want to start building your rig. First and Foremost there are all kinds of guide and places online to help with building a computer, so the lack of information is non-existent when it comes to this topic, I could give you a detailed guide but I will be here forever and I got other things to do. But here is a general summary you can follow.
Make sure you are grounded for static discharge, use a wooden table and a non-carpet floor. This is the most important advice I can give you for building a computer, cause it would such after putting all that time and effort in get the right parts, you fry them cause you wasn't careful.
Which brings me to another tip, “ALWAYS INSURE YOUR PARTS” there will always be a time where you have a boo boo or a part is broken or not working right when you acquire it, it’s always best to cover you ass in this situation, cause it can be a situation where it isn't you fault and they say it is and you don’t get a refund or a part replaced cause you wasn't issued, trust be been there done that.
The EndBuilding your own pc and upgrading it for years will save you more money than buying a prebuilt computer from apple or dell and buying a new one every year or so. That’s why I prefer to build my own PC’s because they perform the way I want them to and most importantly is just rewarding. If you still are discouraged about building your own pc then search own Google for custom computer building services. You can get a custom computer built these days for less than $500.
