Is there such a thing as a kindle fire keyboard? Can a keyboard be attached to an amazon kindle fire? The answer to that question is a yes and no. Well let me explain. It is possible to add a keyboard to the kindle fire. It’s even possible to add a touch keyboard to the kindle fire. However, the way to do this is to change the settings on the device and install an app outside of amazon. Something of this nature can only be performed by someone with tech experience and is a true genius with computers. This may also be seen as unethical. The kindle wasn’t designed by amazon to do this. If you try this at home by yourself there is a possibility that the device may not work anymore. Don’t try this at home folks or have someone do it for you. You have been warned. There is no such thing as a kindle fire keyboard. This is not what the kindle fire was designed by amazon for.
The amazon kindle fire was designed with no bluetooth support. This means the device wasn’t built with the intent of using an external mouse or kindle fire keyboard. Let’s face it. The tablet was made by amazon as a tool to access its products and services. The kindle fire was made as a tool to download amazon books for reading. Buying products off their site with ease and also downloading movies from amazon. To get the best kindle fire features a subscription to amazon prime is needed. This is the $79 per year service that is really competing with Netflix.
The keyboard support for the amazon kindle fire is really non existent for the simple reason that the product was designed as a tool to easily access amazon’s services. For a tablet to have keyboard support the price would have to be greater. I'm sure amazon’s intent was to have an affordable tablet that can easily access their services. You could say to yourself that this isn’t really fair. They build a tablet to pretty much sell their services. Well apple does the same with Itunes right. Google does the same with the nexus 7 and so does Barnes and noble with the nook.
What’s really the point of having a keyboard on a seven inch tablet anyway. When you search the internet you have to zoom in to see the text on the screen. Word processing will be a little difficult. In simple terms a bigger screen is needed. Keyboard support as one of the kindle fire features with a price of under $200 is really not feasible. If you need a tablet that has keyboard support and a bigger screen, you’ll have to dish out a lot more cash and buy an ipad. The term amazon kindle fire keyboard is non existent.
