Amazon is unleashing its new tablet e-reader just in time for the holiday season. Its competition, the Barnes and Noble Nook Color should feel a bit threatened with this release. So which one should I get this holiday season? I have been waiting for Amazon to finally come out with their new color tablet and its safe to say that its finally worth the wait. So in this article were going to see the epic e-reader battle between the Kindle Fire vs Nook Color.
Introducing the Amazon Kindle Fire.
Amazon did a really smart move as to wait awhile to come out with their upgraded e-reader tablet just in time for the holiday season and its safe to say that it was well worth the wait. I can almost hear the crys of Nook Color owners saying "Damn! I should have waited for the Kindle Fire to come out!" Let me explain why.
The Kindle Fire compares to the Nook Color in every possible way but what sets the Kindle Fire apart from the Nook Color is its processor. Amazon decided to equip the tablet with a dual core processor compared to the single 800mhz single core processor the Nook Color is equipped with. This makes the Kindle Fire make competing with the Apple iPad even more realistic as the new generation of e-readers and tablet computers are beginning to merge into one category of a device.
The Kindle Fire comes fully equipped with the 7inch, 1280x600 resolution display just like its competitor the Nook Color and offers the same quality of battery life (8 hours) which takes about 3-4 hours to charge. Both are priced identically at $199, but the Kindle Fire is what offers buyers the more "bang for your buck" quality.
Comparing the Kindle Fire vs Nook Color
The Kindle Fire also has a smaller footprint than the Nook Color because of its slimmer design and also weighs less than the Nook Color. This makes the Kindle Fire better in protability over the Nook Color and is also easier on your wrists. When looking over the techical specifications of each device the only difference between the two is that the Kindle Fire offeres a better performing CPU which is always better in my opinion as im always multitasking on these things. So if your looking to get the most out of your money, the kindle fire hands down is the correct choice to get your loved ones this holiday season.
