The following are my top 10 PC reviews for next year, 2013. Some of which still belongs to my top 10 list this year. There are many great things to anticipate next year and I hope my review could help some of you on what to choose for buying. So here it is, listed from top to bottom.
1. HP TouchSmart 9300 Elite.
This is an all in one PC available with any of the second gen Intel Core i3, i5, and i7 processors. Along with it is an 8GB Random Access Memory (RAM) that generously complements its processor power. The computer also bears a massive 1TB hard drive with a storage options that include 160GB solid-state drive or a self-encrypting drive of 320GB. It has also a dedicated video card Nvidia GeForce GT 425M which adds an additional 1GB of video memory. The most visible feature of this beast is its 23-inch wide-screen monitor. It is a full 1080p HD with its native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. And the best part is that the monitor is a highly precise touchscreen. The only not so good thing about this is that its Wi-Fi lacks compatibility in the 5.0 GHz band.
2. Lenovo IdeaCentre A720.
Perfect also for multitasking, with its i7 quad-core processor and 8GB of RAM you can do lots of task simultaneously. One pro to this is that it saves a lot of energy due to its hard drive speed of 5200 rpm. You can upgrade this to a static-state drive or SSD on up to 64GB. This is a good thing because as we all know SSD has no moving parts and with this the system can start up more quickly. The 1TB hard drive is located inside its fold down touchscreen. There are also additional features like the HDMI IN and OUT ports, a 6-in-1 media card reader, TV tuner, Blu-ray drive, and a 720p webcam. The con on this is that you can adjust the volume and frequency but you cannot customize the audio.
3. Acer All in one Z5.
Most of the features are also included in this PC; however, the OS is only a 64bit version of Microsoft 7 Home Premium (Touch Pack). When compared to the Windows 7 Pro and Ultimate, this cannot back up to a network and will only support one CPU. This isn’t so bad when you know that this has the Aero peek, Aero snap, and Aero shake. And another good thing about this PC is that it carries with it an Intel Core i3-2120, a dual-core processor with a clock rate of 3.3GHz and 1TB of hard drive. Not bad huh!
4. iMac (21.5 inch).
Most reviewers deem this as the “archetypal all in one PC”; professional, powerful, flexible, and very well designed. If there is anything that is unrivaled to this is its physical design. Its 21.5 inch HD widescreen LED-back lit monitor in-plane switching (IPS) which provides the user a great view in any given angle. But there some cons to this, like the ultra-thin wireless keyboard with no numeric pads, missing Blu-ray drive, HDMI connectivity and eSATA port. The new features are the integrated Intel core i5 processor, 8GB RAM, and 500GB hard drive, which can be upgraded also to 16GB to 2TB, respectively.
5. ASUS ET24101UTS All in one PC.
This PC has a superb touchscreen and audio system. The CPU choices can be the Intel core i3 and i5 processors. The memory has up to 8GB RAM and a massive hard drive of up to 2TB. The installed OS is the Windows 7 Home premium which, again, lacks some of the features when compared to the Pro and Ultimate version. One awesome advantage of this PC is its Blu-ray and DVD combo drive. The graphics card installed is the NVIDIA GT450M, that is an additional 1GB of Video memory. Its 23.6 inches multi-touchscreen uses optical technology with a resolution of 1920 by 1080-pixels.
6. HP Omni 27.
The HP Omni 27 sits at the industry average level performance. The present model is equipped with only a second gen i5 processor that only runs at a speed of 2.5GHz. This is a dual core type of processor only and it is recommended to upgrade the system to a third gen processor, which in sense, are all quad core. Inside the Omni 27 is an HD 4000 graphics card that will allow users to view quality videos such as on Blu-rays. Perhaps the best part of this PC is its built-in Beats audio system, located at the bottom of the PC.
7. HP Compaq 8200 Elite XZ909UT.
This PC has Windows 7 OS and has a memory of 4GB RAM, which is also expandable to 8GB. The central processing unit is the Intel core i5. It has a wireless keyboard and mouse that contributes to its elegant design. The computer is Energy Star qualified and EPEAT gold registered which means this computer is environmental friendly. The con, this is not a touchscreen computer like that of the other HP's.
8. Sony VAIO L Series VPCL2290X.
Good for business and home users that needs a simple but powerful all-in-one pc. The Sony VAIO L Series has an Intel Pentium B940 that runs at a speed of 2GHz. The random access memory can be configured up to 8GB. The hard drive as well can be upgraded up to 3TB. The operating systems of choices are Windows 7 Home premium 64bit or the Professional 64bit. The only bad thing about this is that due to its wireless keyboards and mouse you will occasionally replace the battery for a better performance.
9. Lenovo ThinkCentre M90z.
An all in one PC should be power packed in in order to replace its predecessors, the traditional desktops. This PC is fully loaded under the hood! This all in one pc runs the Intel G6960 processor and has a hard drive space of 4GB. This pc also offers a “Windows 7 Enhanced Experience” that has boot time efficiency, quicker shutdown, and energy saving. Lenovo ThinkCentre comes with some built-in features like a 2.0 megapixel webcam, Tray-loading DVD+/-RW burner, USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet port, and speakers.
10. ViewSonic VPC191 All-in-one PC.
This product has always been known for its monitors; however, they also have compelling computers, like the VPC100. This computer is equipped with an Intel Atom N270 (single core) with 1.6GHz processing speed as its CPU. The 160GB hard drive and 1GB of memory are both on the low end. It has an integrated microphone and speakers, a built-in 1.3 mega-pixel webcam, a Tray-loading RW DVD. The computer has only 4 USB ports.
