When we take a look at all dis-eases or diseases and how to heal them there is always one factor which is always present.
Whatever your condition the mind is always there playing its part.
How we view our challenges to health will determine how we overcome them.
How we use our mind during those challenging times can mean healing our selves or not.
I can remember a story that was told to me by a close friend my father, the story was told to him by his Grand Father.
Though the story is based in the Caribbean during the 1930’s it applies universally today and could happen anywhere in another form at any time in 21st Century.
This story encapsulates the power of the mind and its ability to cause harm or encourage healing.
The story is about a man known as Busher who liked to gamble.
One day while participating in and gambling on a poker game Busher got into a heated argument with another player.
As the argument reached its climax insults were exchanged, threats were made and Busher was eventually struck by the other player.
In his defence Busher proclaimed in a thunderous voice to all who were present, that “at midnight” that evening the man that he was in contention with would die.
Busher then left and the card game carried on.
Now as the story goes, at mid night just as Busher had proclaimed, the man in question died.
People began to speculate that his death was caused by a from of obiah or curse inflicted by Busher.
It is said that the man died prematurely from a hear attack.
He had sat up all night watching the clock and waiting for it to reach midnight, when it did he his heart stopped.
Was this this man a victim of his belief system? Some would say yes he was.
Because he believed the words of Busher the man died from his internal dialogue with himself.
The purpose of this vintage story was to highlight the power of the mind and how our belief system will determine how we respond to external stimuli.
Weather the stimulus come in the form of words, foods, or medicines, it is the mind, your belief system that influences how you are affected.
It is your mind that can harm you or heal you.
If you deeply believe an act or a thing will heal you then surely it will. Likewise, believing a thing or an act will harm you then the answer is the same, it will.
At the time of writing this, I would like to mention that this information doesn’t mean that if you believe drinking a bottle of bleach won’t harm you it won’t, IT WILL!
However, if believing in a mental visualization or a sugar pill as being something which is able to cure you of disease then it can and IT WILL!
It has been proven time and time again through medical trials and research around the globe.
They have shown results which prove beyond a doubt that the mind can in fact heal the body..
