We all have heard about coconut being good for you but know one really knows why its good for us, I am going break down the benefits of coconut oil, I am going to reveal various facts about coconut oil through which have confirmed in human studies.

Coconut can kill hunger - This is an interesting one right, many suggest its due to the way the fatty acids in it are metabolised and because ketone bodies can have an major effect on your appetite.
There was a couple studies take took place, the first was 6 healthy men who were feed varying amounts of medium and long chain triglycerides, the results showed that the men who ate more of the MCTS ( medium chain triglycerides ) ate 256 fewer calories throughout the day on average.
The second study 14 men healthy acknowledged that those who ate more MCTS at breakfast ate significantly less calories at lunch.

Coconut oil can kill viruses, fungi and bacteria - Near to 50% of the fatty acids is the 12-carbon lauric acid, when enzymatically digested coconut oil forms a monoglyceride named monolaurin.
Both monolaurin and lauric acid can kill harmful pathogens like bacteria, viruses and fungi.
This can help prevent infections.
